[YT]5jMHfnbkx6A[/YT] This clip shocked me, when Miranda was talking about his life, looking into his eye's. This content is protected
he has a massive reach and has a decent hieght to him and a great punch and decent chin...but his skills are so lacking that even a world trainer cant help out what he does wrong it's a shame becuase he just doesnt have the technical abilty to work from...and as much as his father like trainer is with him he wont leave so...phh thats the end of a promising career bascily

I agreee. Miranda is still young and he got his first real lost in his career and I think this fight was a wake up call. Miranda is going to have a couple of tuneup fights so he can work on his basic fundamentals and he should be able to contend at 168.
well EDISON MIRANDA has got skills... but remember people go to gyms and become boxers...sorted understand but when you have been boxing for a few years and are a pro..rarely do you change the habits. look at jermain taylro immensly talented but he never improved he was fighting EXACTLY the way he was fighting 8 years earlier. the difference is the damage here looks unrepair able peter was able to learn how to jab and mayorga learned to compact his shots a bit but really in the end they are flawed in how they trained earlier. and thats it. from my point of view
Theres no way Miranda can imporve enough to really make a difference at this level of the game. Every punch takes years to develop and Miranda is too late in his career to change up his whole style. More importantly, Miranda doesnt have the smarts in the ring. That you can't train for, your born with it. Miranda has physical gifts like power and durability and thats gone be his bread an butter until he retires.
I'm not a fan of Miranda's style particularly, but it's interesting the mentality fans have these days. People view a loss as too damaging than it may actually be. Fights way back would take a loss and move on. Judging by Miranda's background, I won't be surprised to see him just bounce back and keep moving.
Disagree about Steward being the perfect trainer for him, Roach works the best with offensive fighters.
Miranda has time to improve - the question is "will he improve?" It's tough to say. He's had 30 pro fights and he is still more crude than Samuel Peter. He has tremendous physical tools, but I think he's as good as he's gonna get. Not to take away from him because I'll always watch his fights.
