CF: Edison how are you doing?

EM: Thank God everything is fine.

CF: Edison, what happened in your fight against Arthur Abraham?

EM: Well first of all, in life you win some and you loose some. Champions like Ali, Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns and Duran all great champions in the history of this sport have fallen but the most important thing is not falling but it’s getting back up. In life men always fall but it’s the brave ones who get back up….Sometimes things happen, you know the past is the past but sometimes you have to mention it, for this fight I had a nutritionist but he wasn’t adequate. The nutritionist that was working with me is used to working with body builders and the diet he had me on was restricting me of all sugars, salts, fats, potassium and sodium. At one point I told him I felt weak, I look strong but I felt weak inside and I wasn’t ready for a fight. His answer to that was, “well that’s the work that needs to be done, it’s normal to feel that way”. We all saw what happened in the fight.

CF: So you think that weight was the primary reason you lost?

EM: (cutting in) That’s no excuse, all fighters have to work hard to make weight but what’s important here is that I am a warrior of life and I will continue to move forward, everything is going to be alright and there is going to be more Edison Miranda and more Pantera Miranda for a long time.

CF: Anything you’d like to say to your fans?

EM: I really wanted to win this fight for them. Sometimes your mind wants to do something but your body doesn’t let it. I looked really strong on the outside but inside I was weak. Abraham hit me with little shots and I’ll fell down, I was weak. I’m a fighter that can take way bigger shots than the ones I got hit with that night, I was weak.

CF: What is the weight class you think you are going to feel most comfortable fighting at?

EM: …I think 168, 175 are the weights I should be fighting in but I have to stay away from diets that restrict me of all the nutrients.

CF: When do you want to return to the ring, has there been any discussion with your handlers?

EM: Yes there have been discussions and it looks like it will be in four months. I know my fans are disappointed, in life you have to go through the disappointing times in order to enjoy the happy ones. Your not the best at the first things you do in life, you’re the best at the last things you do in life and I believe the last fights of my career will be the most interesting and important ones.

CF: Thanks for your time Edison?

    EM: Thank You.

He always has a ****in' reason as soon as he steps in the ring with a very legit boxer !! The man doesn't want to realize he's no star of boxing talent wise, and that's why he keeps losing the important fights ...

I don't think there's any thing his nutritionist could've fed him that would've stopped Abraham's fist from putting him to sleep.

Miranda didn't even have a chance to get tired yet...

It's not like many other guys don't have to go through the same thing...
The difference is...the really good fighters find ways to win because of their natural talent and ring smarts !
