    I am hearing this is a done deal for May 16th in CA on Showtime.
    Can Miranda get a fair fight on a Goosen card in Ward's hometown?

    Doesn't matter if it's fair or not cuz Miranda isn't going to win by a decision.. IF he wins, it'll be by a TKO or a KO..

    I agree Miranda UD is unlikely, but he will need a fair ref in the ring to let them fight and not let Ward hug all night.

    Not even knowing where Ward is from I have to ask where his home town will be and who will be sanctioning the fight? Who do they use? If he has fought in his home town before, does he always seem to get the same ref?

    quick edit. After checking box rec, it sure doesn't seem as though he has a 'house ref' by any means. I don't know I see one duplicate. Even had Smoger a few fights ago, but that wasn't in California.

    very important fight for both and a good looking matchup. I'd pick Ward on points.

    It's a Goosen fight in Oakland area (Ward's home town).
    I hear California chooses the ref/judges, no negotations.
    A Goosen fight in CA is only a few steps above a Sauerland fight in Germany.

    Doesn't matter.

    Ward will batter him anyway, TKO, UD, whatever he feels like.

    He doesn't need a fair ref, he's a class above Miranda.

    I like Ward but uhhh.....I think Miranda would put him to sleep, this should be good though

    Ward has the skills to beat him easily.

    Ward will the UD if he boxes smart and plays with Miranda...but if he fights it could get dangerous for him and this should be a good fight...

    If it's in Oakland I'll be there with a few hundred Raider fans backing Ward. Miranda got his arse handed to him by Pavlik may have damaged him psychologically. Ward is much tougher mentally. In Oakland he'll have a crazy crowd backin him for sho...

    Miranda has fought top competition. He lost against his top two, but ha beaten the rest.

    Allan Green, Howard Eastman, David Banks, Willie Gibbs and even Henry Porras are all better than anyone Ward has faced.

    This is a HUGE stepup for Ward. I am not saying he cant win, but for you to say Ward will have his way with Pantera is just ludicrous.

    Ward is a gold medalist that should be getting a lot more attention. He's good.

    I agree. The ref isn't going to be a factor in this fight..

    No one could be too sure though cuz Ward's chin hasn't been tested by a true puncher in Miranda but from what ive seen, I'd go with Ward by decision..
