Yes that about sums up my take on you. I had no quams about your pick yet you somehow found it offensive to predict a 99% chance of victory for Miranda. Its only obvious that if two mostly crude and slightly technically skilled punchers where to square off 100x you'll have a pretty evenly mixed amount of victories for both men. I simply stated I feel Miranda has a 99% chance of stopping Bika....nothing more nothing less. If that equals "Stupid" then so be it. Shiiittttt I've been called worse playboy.
What the hell is your problem. I don't think it was mentioned anywhere that these two are the class of the division, they are however taylor made style wise to fight eachother. Get your head out of Joe's ass and watch a potentially very good fight. I'll take Bika, I think he is technically better and throws straighter punches. Either one could get KTFO though.
What the **** did I just read? So if they square off 100 times there would be an evenly mixed amount of victories yet it is 99% certain Miranda stops him in this fight? :-(
I think what he means if that if Miranda wins, which he expects will be the outcome, he will win by stoppage
This is a fun, fun fight if it comes off. If Miranda stays focused and fundamentally sound the way he was against Banks, I like him by KO. Bika is too damned wide with his shots.
"Respected columnist" Dan Rafael seems to think that Miranda's likely opponents are either Kessler (still) or Fulgencio Zuniga as a fallback. The latter fight would give him an IBO belt, who some fighters (cough, Tarver) have been able to parlay into bigger fights for real titles.
This is true, but strangely, Bika's wide shots give him an edge - it means he can attack whilst keeping his chin well back from the action and he often hits opponents at the back of the head with those loopy shots. It's a great defensive technique that allows him to come inside safely, setting up his attack, the way Bika uses it. Miranda would not find it that easy to pull the trigger...
Pharaoh your a good dude like cooked food, but no need to explain any further than I already have. Boxing is like any other sport in that victories can be purely circumstantial, I do plenty of betting since part of my income comes from playing Hold'm online in which again victory is circumstantial. I am confident Miranda would beat Bika by way of stoppage if they where to square off within the next three months my prediction can change for a rematch, I usually go with my gut as it does not lie to me but of course I measure in logic and percentages. I have nothing else to prove....**** this is a website and if calling "stupid" strokes their ego then more power to them. I always maintain....:smoke
Interesting point. Then again, throwing from that far out and remaining effective requires a guy who is going to STAY that far out. No one is ever going to make Sakio Bika look as effective as Codrington did. This coming from a Hopkins fan, so I'm leaving the door wide open, but you're not calling those shots to the back of the head legal, right? :yep
Well, he's not rabbit-punching; he is throwing a loopy shot and moving in at the same time. His opponent usually ducks a bit leaning inside and he gets hit on the back of the head: Just like in my avatar!
Also remember Jadion was able to find success when boxing in the middle of the ring. Some tend to believe he opted to fight on the ropes at times so he may load up on hooks since he found he can hurt Bika with a well timed hook. I believe Bika's mauling pressure forced Jadion to throw away his clear advantage in the technical aspects of the game. Mirianda and Bika will clash since we are dealing with fighters who excel when coming forward, both men are strong and resiliant to a fault. I think the fight will be determined more through attrition than skill, physically I think Mirianda is the stronger man and the more dangerous puncher. All in all it will entertaining for the fans....:yep :good
