He made a new excuse to add to his long list of excuses. He claimed his nutritionist KO'd him and not Abraham.

YES he DID say that. It was all over from various sites and that came one week after what he said immediately after the fight which was full of praises, it was just a matter of time before he comes up with something like that.

He used the nutrition thing as an excuse for the Pavlik loss. In his first fight with AA his excuse was that he was robbed. Last time, there weren´t any.

    Here's the interview with him.

    ------

CF: Edison how are you doing?

EM: Thank God everything is fine.

CF: Edison, what happened in your fight against Arthur Abraham?

EM: Well first of all, in life you win some and you loose some. Champions like Ali, Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns and Duran all great champions in the history of this sport have fallen but the most important thing is not falling but it’s getting back up. In life men always fall but it’s the brave ones who get back up….Sometimes things happen, you know the past is the past but sometimes you have to mention it, for this fight I had a nutritionist but he wasn’t adequate. The nutritionist that was working with me is used to working with body builders and the diet he had me on was restricting me of all sugars, salts, fats, potassium and sodium. At one point I told him I felt weak, I look strong but I felt weak inside and I wasn’t ready for a fight. His answer to that was, “well that’s the work that needs to be done, it’s normal to feel that way”. We all saw what happened in the fight.

CF: So you think that weight was the primary reason you lost?

EM: (cutting in) That’s no excuse, all fighters have to work hard to make weight but what’s important here is that I am a warrior of life and I will continue to move forward, everything is going to be alright and there is going to be more Edison Miranda and more Pantera Miranda for a long time.

CF: Anything you’d like to say to your fans?

EM: I really wanted to win this fight for them. Sometimes your mind wants to do something but your body doesn’t let it. I looked really strong on the outside but inside I was weak. Abraham hit me with little shots and I’ll fell down, I was weak. I’m a fighter that can take way bigger shots than the ones I got hit with that night, I was weak.

CF: What is the weight class you think you are going to feel most comfortable fighting at?

EM: …I think 168, 175 are the weights I should be fighting in but I have to stay away from diets that restrict me of all the nutrients.

CF: When do you want to return to the ring, has there been any discussion with your handlers?

EM: Yes there have been discussions and it looks like it will be in four months. I know my fans are disappointed, in life you have to go through the disappointing times in order to enjoy the happy ones. Your not the best at the first things you do in life, you’re the best at the last things you do in life and I believe the last fights of my career will be the most interesting and important ones.

CF: Thanks for your time Edison?

    EM: Thank You.

Hopefully he gets starched again, that never gets old. Green should rematch I'm sure he can starch him now.

I like Miranda. He's certainly lacking in the skills department, but he's tough and has excellent power. His fights are always exciting. He makes excuses after his losses, but that just makes him like 90% of all boxers.

The sport needs guys below the elite level who can put on exciting fights and are more accessible to the basic cable viewer. I hope Miranda is back in the ring again soon.

Scar, you are such a hater. Always have been.
Miranda no doubt got his ass beat. He said Abraham won fair and square in many interviews. Of course when asked, all fighters have reasons why they lost and try to improve on them. He gives Abraham full credit, unlike Pavlik.

He will be back in the ring Jan 14th and then in March. He is supposed to have a title shot after that if not sooner. He will stay at 168lbs unless an opportunity happens at 175.

Hate or love him, he brings excitement to the sport. Unlike other fighters that run and hide.

    Another example is Pavlik...
He took the loss like a man in the initial interview.
There were no excuses. He got man handled and looked ****ing horrible.

But soon we start hearing about the elbow and bronchitis.

"We have learned our lesson. Even if it is a four round preliminary or a twelve championship bout, if Kelly isn't healthy, we are going to postpone the fight. We suffered because we haven't postponed the fight know about Kelly's condition. We learned our lesson. We went against a legend and got what we got,". Jack Leow.

Find me a good named fighter who got his ass handed to him and I will show you there reason/excuse.
