Andre Ward has advantages in every category except punching power (and that advantage is only slight) and maybe their chins are equal. I see Ward dominating this fight and KO'ing Miranda in the middle rounds. Maybe we'll never hear from Miranda again -- at least not to the extent that we still hear about him now. Ward TKO 7 IMO.

i like miranda. He is always exciting with his poor defense and unimpressive chin. Ward will take him to school but I hope to see miranda again. Ward have the power to ko miranda but he would probably fight a safety first match and if he lands a good punch then he would go for kill. I doubt he will press it.

Miranda is a Glass Jawed **** talking joke. The guy can't take a good punch. Ward is going to shatter that Glass Jaw.

Says the worst poster on ESB. Miranda has been down in two fights. Both were multiple KD's over a couple of rounds. How is that a "glass jaw" you poor excuse of a boxing analyst? You think you are so freaking clever with this glass jaw crap but you are biggest joke on ESB. :deal

Mirandas power ranks on the P4P list. But yeah Ward can bang a bit but his style focuses more on techinal skills. I know Miranda tries to jab but if he catches you his instincts take over.

Considering HBO brought Pavlik in as the opponent for Miranda and they expected Miranda to win I am surprised you are saying this. Every time Miranda steps up he is knocked out.

You just dig this deeper. Kelly won an eliminator and HBO forced a second eliminator so he wasn't brought in to be an opponent. He earned his shot TWICE.

Nice bit of attempted misdirection, but you failed. My point stands. Answer the part in red.

I know you think you are making yourself some sort of name with this glass jaw ****, it just isn't the name you think it is. :deal

I don't think you are understanding my point. So I will stop here. I know Pavlik earned his way. I like Kelly Pavlik I am a fan.

But, HBO was acting like Miranda was going to walk over Pavlik BEFORE the fight and fight Taylor later that year. That is not how I felt. Pavlik then proceeded to beat his ass.

The guy can't take a punch from anyone decent and he has a Glass Jaw. He will get KOed again tonight and will continue to talk ****. Miranda is an idiot.

HBO and the general boxing public expected Miranda to walk all over Kelly because they underestimated Pavlik...who went on to beat Jermaine Taylor twice. Losing to a good fighter shouldnt be shameful. Arthur Abraham has pretty decent power himself.

I suppose Arguello has a glass jaw because he lost to Pryor?

Miranda's power wouldn't get close to my P4P. I don't doubt that he's a hard puncher but hard punchers are a dime-a-dozen. I've seen him clock journeymen like Jose Varela, Joey Vegas, Henry Porras, Sam Reese and others without devastating effect.

I think his career KO record is much more impressive than his actual power. I remember it took him 10 rounds to knockdown an Alan Green who had half of his colon rotting. And Green's isn't exactly the sturdiest of chins. And he never once dropped Arthur Abraham after repeatedly tagging him on a BROKEN JAW. Pavlik walked through this so-called devastating power.

The only true clean KO I"ve seen was his over a chinny David Banks. I just think everything about Pantera is overatted because of his KO record and his life story. He's a slightly larger version of Ricardo Mayorga.

    :rofl:patsch

Isn't that basically what I have been saying? I know HBO and some (not all) of the Boxing public underestimated Pavlik. I didn't. I knew after the first round was over that Pavlik was going to knock him out. I had several people over for that fight and I told them that Miranda had already hit Kelly with his best punch and it did nothing. That fight stole the show as Taylor/Spinks was a total stinker.

And I am not even going to compare what Arguello went through against Pryor to a Glass Jawed joke like Miranda that is idiotic.

    :good

i personally believe that the fact that so many people are talking about a guy whose sole acomplishment in the sport is beating a slightly past his prime howard eastman ,and by the way i watched that fight and the stoppage was premature, is a testament to how truly overrated miranda is it proves your mouth can do more for your career than your fists. He has awesome power but thats where it ends, he can take a punch, but doesnt have the conditioning to withstand someone who can walk through some of his punches and through alot of shots back at him, unfortunately for him every elite fighter can do that, thats why i think hes a good gate keeper for the division but nothing more a fringe contender who will fade in to obscurity shortly.
