Bute already fought Bika and then won the IBF belt off of Berrio. And sorry to tell you, but Berrio is a better fighter and harder hitter than Edison Miranda.:good
I'll tell you what he should do...he should do what Bika did...keep a low profile, train his socks off and fight the best, sometimes at short-notice. Bika even entered the Contender to make a name for himself, and now he is working on a shot at Mundine. This is how you call a Champ or top fighter out: Sakio about Mundine: "He is very popular and he has taken the fight game in Australia to another level," Bika said. "But while he has got the name here, I have got the name around the world now so I'm sure it would be a big fight." This is how you talk about a Champ or a top fighter if you are a promoter: Bika's promoter bout Bika and Mundine: "They are two of the best super-middleweights in the world, and by fighting Sakio, 'Choc' could have a big fight in his own backyard and put himself on the world stage." http://www.smh.com.au/news/sport/bika-angles-for-the-mans-title/2008/03/07/1204780065098.html This is how serious, proven, non-jokes go about business, with respect!:deal
Respect? He is a *****, that is why. Look at his wife, if he had any self respect he would have gotten rid of that monser long ago.
Sure, Miranda is a clown. But he doesn't even have Bika's versatility in the ring. Bika can employ an effective dirty style, a decent pressure style and a decent brawler style and is not tentative to counter punch or tentative to do anything basically, he'll do whatever it takes to win and it's extremely hard to overwhelm him due to his poise. Miranda is quite different, he's very tentative behind that long jab and seeks to either counter or lead with the jab and follow up with a power right. Doesn't go the body at all and is a HORRIBLE inside fighter, if not for his power, he'd be a D level fighter. Edison Miranda doesn't matter at SMW, he won't beat Bika if they fight and won't beat any other top 10, or top 15's really. ****ing Pantera2000 is asking Bute to step up when Miranda's not been in with anybody at 168.
He is a ***** for fighting the best in the division, sometimes at very short notice, in their back-yard? atsch Miranda will never have the balls to do it the hard way...like Bika; for him, it has to be instant success or he becomes hysterical! And taking a cheap shot like that at Bika's wife is low...really low... Bika's wife is an engineer and an executive with a big multinational, apparently. And just in case you are white and don't know it, many in Cameroon like their women to be plump/rotund...not everyone likes skinny chicks, you know!:yep
You think Miranda's better and punches harder than Berrio? Do you think Miranda beats Stieglitz and Mack?:yep Doubtful. He lost two rounds to David ****ing Banks and struggled with Henry ****ing Porras, stopped them both, but a KO doesn't erase the trouble. Stieglitz and Mack are quite a step up from those 3rd class fighters.
Asking Bute to step up is fair enough...he is a belt holder and should fight better competition. And Bute, disappointingly, but realistically, said he wasn't good enough yet to beat the best...at least he's honest and not delusional. Meanwhile, Miranda, who is completely unproven at 168 calls himself "the best", whilst not having the courage to fight guys at his own level e.g. Bika, nor the insight to know he has a lot to work on if he is to have a chance of becoming a contender, like Bute, one day. And while Bute says he is not ready for a great fighter like Kessler, but hopes to be good enough to make a fight against Kessler competitive next year, Miranda calls Kessler all sorts of derogatory names...as if in doing so, he could improve his own performance by a hairwidth. Miranda is just looking for the paydays...paydays he has done nothing to prove he's earned. He was lucky to be keps in clover by the American networks, he's lost every time he's stepped up and now he feels he DESERVES the big paydays against proven top competition. :-( :-( :-( Well, he's not kidding me!:verysad
Trouble with Porras? Are you insane? He stopped him quicker than many of these top 168lbers you speak so highly of. Berrios is a joke. I could KO him with one punch. Glass chin. You are such a hater it is sick. Codrington almost had Bika out. How the hell is Codrington. Miranda would easily David Banks him early.
Miranda struggled with Porras, didn't he? If he didn't have that punch, he'd be nowhere! Berrio beat some legit names at SMW, which is more than Miranda ever did. And I never recall Berrio being disrespectful about his opponents, calling them names either...not even when he held that vacated title.
Tell me what Miranda did from Sept 23, 2006 to May 19th, 2007. Find me ONE boxer in recent history that had a tougher schedule in that kind of time frame. Miranda is great for this sport and has proven he wants to fight the best anytime, anywhere. Your Bute is an unknown joke cause he is afraid to fight someone with a heartbeat. That is why HBO could give two shits about him fighting Miranda. Nobody cares about him.
He beat a finished Eastman, couldn't put a heavily injured Abraham away, beat a journeyman no one has every heard of, beat Allan Green - non Top 10 at SMW, and got KOed by Pavlik. In other words, he beat a non top 10 SMW - not bad...but nothing to write home about - he wasted chances! Clearly, not the kind of run that warrants those words thrown in Kessler's direction!:nono Given the amount of opportunities he's had and blown, he should thank his lucky stars and keep his big mouth shut.
:yep When Kessler takes the fight, which he very well may, then you can shut your mouth. Obviously if Kessler thinks he earned the fight then nobody cares what you think. :yep
