I have to go with assasin..

Pantera is trying to get Kessler to take notice of him and may be sucessfull in doing so.
Certainly, we here at ESB and other sites are taking notice. So part of the mission has already been accomplished:)

As far as the actual fight is concerned, I would love to see Kessler against Miranda in the states. A good tune up for Kessler and a name fighter that will make it easier for Palle to get Taylor or Winky in the ring, later on.

As for the outcome.. well, I think even die hard Pantera fans would think twice before betting on Edison. It seems to b a bit too much for Miranda at this stage. However, we don't know where Kessler is, mentally, after his loss. He may be the same, i which case Edison is going to have to find another level within himself to win - I don't think many will disagree with that. However, if Kessler is suffering from the loss to JC (certainly not a schooling, shame on that article for saying so) Miranda may have the edge, given his seemingly unending self confidence.

I would put my money on Kessler - but I would pay to see the fight, were it near me, or perhaps PPV. And that is really the whole idea with this trash talking, isn't it?

Everybody is knocking Pantera for trashing Kessler. I maintain that if Kessler had been a little better at trashtalking, the JC fight would have broken the attendance record.

Edison and his handlers seem to understand the game the best.
Imo, Kessler understands the sport the best.

(And a fully fit Kessler (i.e. a two handed one)wins a rematch with JC)

If Kessler cannot get a better fight (against a more worthy opponent), he will take on Miranda, of course, especially if that is what the US networks want him to do in exchange for some hype/respectability in the USA. Why would Kessler just waste away on the sidelines?

That doesn't mean Miranda should put Kessler down the way he does, though. I still don't see on what basis Miranda is calling Kessler out, except on the basis that he is notorious and a NAME...but that's it...

If the US networks want the fight, Kessler will take it.

I am soooo sorry I EVER gave you a hard time about Bute.
Every since you told me one of his biggest two wins was beating the almighty Berrios who was able to hang with Porras for almost 6 rounds!

Wow.... Now I see why people are soooooo afraid of Bute. He is not to far from the powerhouse that Porras is!

Berrio's loss to Porras was in 2001, when Porras was 21-0 (17kos). 6 years later, Berrio had good wins vs Stieglitz, Mack and Vanderpool while Miranda ko'd a semi-active 36 years old Porras who went 12-6 since the Berrio fight.

You come on this site telling us (almost on a daily basis) how Miranda is improving his boxing skills by the day but yet can't understand that the 2007 version of Berrio had improved from the Porras fight to became a legitimate top 10 SMW. That's, two weights, two measures. Get real. Berrio 2007 would have KTFO Porras.

I respect Miranda for taking on everybode who's willing to fight him but I agree with others that he should tone it down a little. Hasn't he learned anything from the Pavlik debacle ? If you talk the talk, you gotta be able to walk the walk. Plain and simple.

Sorry, he may have improved, but to talk Bute up as being this amazing fighter who will face anyone and then tell me how impressive a win over Berrios is, well, that is a joke.

I haven't seen anyone who wrote that Bute's win vs Berrio was "impressive". All I saw was people saying that Berrio 2007 was a legitimate top 10 and a win vs 2007 Berrio was more meaningful then a win over 2007 Porras.

Not arguing that point. But a win over a 2007 Berrios is nothing to brag about.

Admittedly, ive only seen two of Kessler's fights (against Andrade and Calzaghe), but from what ive seen, I just dont understand what makes him so great. Dont get me wrong, he's good, but what makes all of you SMW fans believe that he is great enough to easily handle Miranda?

The chances of him stopping Miranda, imo, are slim. Even the most absurd Miranda haters have to acknowledge that the guy has power, enough power to put Kessler down me thinks. So basically, he (Miranda) would be in the fight from round one on, and would always have a good punchers chance to pull it out. I dont think it would be an easy fight at all, for either fighter.

I only follow a couple of the SMW's, so SMW fans, let me know how off base i am on Kessler. Am I underestimating him? what makes him great?

Kessler would have Miranda fighting of the backfoot just like Pavlik had. I think this is why most people see this as an almost surefire Kessler win.

I am not the best at scoring fights, but to my knowledge Kessler had only lost 4-5 rounds before the Calzaghe fight (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong) and three of those were in his defense against Mundine where he fought with a back injury.

I´ll PM you the Mundine fight if you're interested in seeing more of Kessler.

    I wouldn't mind seeing a Miranda-Wright fight.
