Just saw it. IMO, it's a pretty easy night for Kessler, and a nice payday. I don't understand the "outrage".
Miranda for all his flaws fights very good competition, not too many cans in his record lately and he is very exciting to watch. Looks for the KO and is a great opponent for anyone. So why knock the man he is good for boxing.
Well, David Banks and Jean Pascal are going to tarnish the "very good comp" description some, but overall you're right. When was Miranda last in a "bad" fight? If you are technically sound with good power, you beat him, and will look good doing it. He's a fantastic "opponent", and for an elite fighter, which I have no problems calling Kessler, he's damn near a "stay busy" fight.
The Nitwit speaks: Re Miranda: I'll tell you what he should do...he should do what Bika did...keep a low profile, train his socks off and fight the best, sometimes at short-notice. Re Bute: Bute says he has much to learn and that he isn't good enough to fight the best yet...so he fights bums. Sounds like a double standard, eh nitwit?
Both Miranda and Bute should keep their nose clean, learn and develop and then step up. This is what Bute is doing. He doesn't talk crap. Miranda calls his betters names, steps up and loses. Stoopid! Miranda doesn't have a belt, so he needs to take the fights he can. This is what Bika did and does. But Bika has earned everyone's respect with very strong performances and with a good attitude. He would have finished Abraham that night, even with his head, if that was the only way. He would not have gotten KTFO by Pavlik either...he would have gotten off the ropes, grinned back and walloped him! Bika is a winner. Miranda likes to be thought of as a winner but comes across as a joke. You get it?
