Zahradník is able to duck most of the more & more wild and erratically aimed 1-2s from Troyanovsky. Zahradník pestering Troyanovsky running up with chopping jabs or double-fisted scooping combos on the chest, but is chased out with quick jabs between his eyes and some gavel rights atop the scalp. Head clash and there's a cut, but not a bad one. Zahradník attempting to bait Troyanovsky with a high jab stepping in, hoping to draw him forward so he can land a right, but instead Troyanovsky leans back and lands his own jab.

Nearly a full minute's delay in starting the ninth as they fix tape on Zahradník's glove.

 

Round 9

Troyanovsky seems to have benefited from this last stool break and the additional time waiting for Zahradník's glove to be re-taped, as his jab has rediscovered a bit of its old crispness. Zahradník is getting sliced & diced with it even as he tries staying clear in his wide orbit. Quite a bit of clinching now, with neither party bearing the brunt of guilt as both are initiating at times and neither seems unwilling to accept being held. They shake and wrestle one another, but very little in the way of clean punching on the inside.

Zahradník did at least try decapitating Troyanovsky with a few of those sweeping right hands in the pocket, but a) he was too close to put much torque on it, and b) if his plan was indeed to wait for the old man to gas, well, backfire, you're gassed too, kid.

He's lucky Zahradník isn't just a teensy bit all-around better.

 

Round 10

Zahradník is pressuring, after a fashion, by which I mean trotting away from Troyanovsky's jabs for half a minute, only to cannonball in and try roughing him up with body and head combos until they both collapse into each other's arms, exhausted. Troyanovsky is able to summon a bit of dexterity and pivots around Zahradník, landing a pair of uppercuts into his chest, winding him momentarily. Zahradník is hurt but there's only half a minute left and Troyanovsky probably hasn't got sufficient energy to mount a finishing attempt. Nope.
