Samedov, the southpaw in black trunks, is adoptive Russian by way of Azerbaijan, entering with a 9-1 (2) record. Manríquez, visiting from Argentina, is 4-0 and has never registered a stoppage.

That's a combined 14.2% kayo rate.

This one is probably going a hard eight, then. Barring maybe a cut or something.

 

Oh damn, or maybe not... Manríquez was getting worked in the corner for the last thirty seconds of the opener. Surprised he didn't go down; looked on the verge for quite some time as Samedov went into beast mode.

 

I'm going to call that a 10-8 for Samedov even though he didn't actually net a KD.

 

God those left uppercuts on the body from Samedov are loud. You can hear them reverberating with heavy bass (like a gangsta blaring rap from his car passing by with the windows rolled down) and virtually drowning out the crowd.

 

^ the right hooks are pretty noisy, too.

Samedov actually did stop a decent name opponent last time out (Aik Shakhnazaryan) - albeit via injury.
