Eduardo Lausse, underrated mid-50's MW 75-10-2, with 62 ko's. Eduardo Lausse, Argentine. Very strong, Southpaw. Outmuscled prime Gene Fullmer. This content is protected This content is protected
Made a thread within the past month ago Lausse and how he would do against the current crop of middleweights. It received exactly zero responses...
Sorry compadre...I was gone for awhile. Lausse was one of the mid-50's fighters, that was hot for awhile then faded off...then SRR & Fullmer & Basilo started trading the MW title around, and Lausse never got a title shot. To be honest, prime Lausse, with his power, boxing skills, mobility, and southpaw skills, would give GGG & Canelo trouble in today's era of 12 rd title fights (need to win just 6 rds, and draw on 1 more, and you can box to a decision win).
I had him face off against the likes of Golovkin, Alvarez and Jacobs in my thread... I wouldn't make any of them but a prime Gennady even money with a fighter like Lausse, especially the way GGG seemingly isn't as defensively nuanced as many of the fighters around in Lausse's time. Lausse was not the type of fighter you wanted to be hit on the chin by, I don't care what kind of durability you have. He was one of those top tier, lights out punchers.
