    I have Lausse here.

The guy was so feared and avoided he never got a title shot. Not too many people will know about Lausse in these days. He could bounce and move the whole fight as well without fatiguing. He put Fullmer on his ass and really beat him up in a war that is overlooked and probably just not known about by most boxing people. After a few rounds of taking some hammers; Gene didn't move in on this fella like he did an old Ray Robinson or ovrmatched and outweighed Benny Paret.

You could almost hear Gene thinking: "What have I gotten myself into?" as he covered up in that arms crossed defense to ward off some of the heavy artillery coming his way. I think Rubin would be overmatched here as he was kind one dimensional in terms of comparing him with this guy. If Lausse dosen't stop Carter; he gives him a good drubbing to be sure, but Carter being the tough guy he was would hear the final bell.

I think it'll be an exciting fight I see Lausse winning he just seemed to have more tools and hit like a truck.

Lausse by KO in about 4 or 5 rounds. Carter would not be able to handle Lausse's power. Lausse had one of all time great left hooks. I used to go to Lou Stillman's gym and watch Lausse spar with heavyweights and overpower them. (This while wearing 18 oz sparring gloves). The guy was remarkable. When he walked into the gym, you would think he was a heavyweight himself. I could never figure how he weighed 157 -158 lbs.
