Has been wobbled before, stayed defensive got his feet back then got the TKO victory.

Good body work (always goes to the body) - mainly solar plexus with his jab
    fast straight right
    Exciting to watch

Started boxing aged 20? Very decent for the age he started at.

Can't hate him. He is a proffesional and acts like it.

Is he top tier? only time will tell probaly not though..he abit of a glass jaw

Hype job. Not as good as people make out and won't win a title.

Why hype job? Nobody is saying he can beat a Haye or Klitscko are they? or even the better class B fighters.

    stiff,flat footed, slow.

Exciting, I'll give him that. Would get a beating from either Klitschko. Heck, Arreola would probably light him up.

    Good fight, watch it.

He's nothing special. Only has power from what I saw and sub-average technique. Been dropped in his last fight Witherspoon.

Decent enough to make a buzz, and has good power.

He can atleast throw a punch unlike shell shocked Rahman and MMA Wach, Mitchell can't be any worse no matter how much the Euro's argue.

To summarize it, he has power to take you out even if you out-boxed him for 5-6-7 etc rounds.

Another hypejob, unfortunately. Americans are getting increasingly desperate for a heavyweight. Well, when I say Americans, I'm mainly talking about the TV networks and promoters. Their informed fans know he's average at best.

But best of luck to him, though. Hope he can prove me and everyone else wrong, and have a decent stint at the division when the Klitschkos go. And to be fair, considering how dire the scene is, I can see him have a successful go at it.

    Where was he "dropped" ?

You make the assertion, then post a video showing it's not true!

You probably could not tell one from the other anyway.

    Are you an idiot? :patsch

    :deal

The only guy getting dropped is Witherspoon.

People bring up the fact that Mitchell was buzzed by a Witherspoon punch and write him off, for the wrong reasons no less. You can maybe say he shouldn't have been hit with the shot, but to diss him when his legs shook after getting clobbered by a ****ing heavyweight boxer? I guess you all prefer watching tomato cans get steamrolled by champions, competitive bouts are uncalled for right?

He wasn't dropped, but he got hit with at least 5-10 deadly bombs, right to the head. IIRC, he had to hold for dear life about 3 times.

    What this means is:

1: Mitchell has about the same defensive skills as Wach. (and is not likely to get much better with time)

2: Mitchell has an amazing chin, (why some idiots think he has a glass jaw is beyond my comprehension) and because of this, combined with his aggressive nature and serious power, he actually has a small chance of making it to the top-tier.

Quality post, we need that around here. I think Mitchell has slightly better defense, he moves his head and ducks punches, but I can agree with the majority of your post. I guess Mitchell will have to land first if he is going to have success.

He was a big hopeful for NFL in his college days, picked up boxing at age 20. He sustained knee injuries during his college football career and had to give up the sport, had been in the NFL today had it not been for those knees.

But because he took up boxing at age 20, doesn't mean he's out of luck, Martinez picked up boxing at age 20 too and he excells at what he does, they just have different talents, Seth Mitchell is a very heavy handed fellow whereas Martinez is just naturally explosive and fast.
