A bit of rabbit punches uncalled by the referee, mostly Andrew being brilliant but mentally unstable at that point of his career (Pouha bite, later quitting against Grant while ahead.) He later returned far more gritty and arguably win the title twice against Byrd and Ruiz, but at that point he was a motorcycle-crash survivor who only had a remnant of his once elite jab.

Some claimed he had broken jaw on the second.

This ^ He had Bowe's number, the wins were in the bag both times. He was like Herol Graham, he found a way to lose. Mentally weak.

    What are you leaving out?
The fact that Gołota was an emotionally unstable guy who couldn't cope in difficult conditions because of his head.

    Frustration, fatigue, panic.

Gołota physically and technically had everything to be great, but he didn't have an iron psyche.

Coaches from his amateur days confirmed these problems, stating that before tournaments the guy would lock himself away and be extremely tense.

In today's world, maybe it would be possible to "fix" him. In times when working with a psychologist is becoming the norm for athletes and not "shameful", maybe it would be possible to set his head on the right track. Release this stress, relax it before fights and in difficult moments.

    But that's history now.
