    Round 6

García is caught with a descending left hook from Cheeseman, but wriggles off to his side and comes up jabbing and putting together body combos, never roaming more than a pace away from Cheeseman but making him miss jabs and short curveball rights while riding an elevator from roof to basement and lighting him up both ways. Cheeseman throwing some messy combos down at the head as García circles into the ropes and then ducks and rolls away. Cheeseman marches up and stuffs a couple of hard jabs into García's mouth, but the Spaniard is able to speed-shuffle outside and find that range where Cheeseman is missing with the step-in jab while García lands his on the backfoot.

    10-9 García

Can definitely see that; I'm not blissfully wedded to either Cheeseman round on my card.

    And the other four...clinic.

Been on my radar because he was a protégé of Maravilla, but I think I only ever caught a fight or two from his initial run in Spain. EBU champ at point, I wanna say?

I went into this fight having seen countless fights from both guys, and knowing how good both were, I was the only guy that without hesitation picked Garcia when the fight was announced, but it clicked for @Drew101 a little while later and he jumped on the Garcia train as well for this one.

    Round 7

García is starting to slip & counter with more confidence, remaining directly in front of Cheeseman, throwing hooks into the stomach and rights into the face while ducking Cheeseman's straights & sweeps. García stunning Cheeseman now when he makes him miss and then makes him pay. Cheeseman growing wild as he flails like Donkey Kong at the zigzagging cranium of García, not locating him and getting rocked in response.

    68-65 García

That's the fight he beat Beaussire for the title IIRC. Which was maybe 2 or 3 years ago.

    Round 8

García is jabbing into the body as he circles left, but Cheeseman is starting to at last discover some accuracy, jabbing between García's wrists and then slamming him with rights as he walks him down. García blocking what he can but getting carried out with the tide, the physicality of even the shots on his gloves sending him into a backpedal. García now comes on, wending into Cheeseman's chest and jabbing up at him, but Cheeseman answers with some rights. Cheeseman spends the final half-minute backing up, knackered.

10-9 Cheeseman, close, but he blew his wad and now looks winded.

    77-75 García

    Round 9

García is paddling the face of Cheeseman with the jab while drifting outside his reach, scoring while playing keepaway. Cheeseman is defending well but missing when he opens up with fat lefts and rights barging in. Cheeseman now hopping in place, attempting to get the blood flowing and find his second wind. Nothing doing. García dances around him rapidly, boxing his ears off with just the jab. García is tireless with that left stick, and never lingering more than a split-second in front of Cheeseman, exacerbating the gummed-up tire-treads of the Brit. Too slick and Spanish. :sisi1

Andy Clarke has it 89-82 García. Which is totally fine.

You can really see the Maravilla imprint on his style.

    Round 10

García is posting up in front of Cheeseman, baiting him, sailing away from big hooks with his left arm down, shoulder lowered, and countering with jabs after materializing off to Cheeseman's flank. García is tossing rights up from the far hip and scoring as well from the outside as Cheeseman just blunders in, defenses scattered. Cheeseman with a horrible looping right at literally nothing, perhaps aiming for where the body of García had been three seconds earlier, but García is now literally behind him. García with some HUGE counters, just toying with Cheeseman. 90% of García's offense is jabs, and more than half of those are busting through Cheeseman's guard (when he bothers even lifting it). Cheeseman, nose bleeding profusely, just a punching bag on skates, landing nothing.

    10-9 García

    Round 11

García is jabbing the navel, then retracting the left arm over his brow and bucking in to shove Cheeseman off with a bracing elbow. García masterfully turning Cheeseman and scoring jabs on the point of the chin. García misses a right past the left ear of Cheeseman but then lands two jabs in a row as Cheeseman looms over him and loads up errant windmilling shots. BIG rights dropping all over the place from Cheeseman, but virtually all of them missing. One gets through and grazes & stuns García. Quick recovery, and García is jabbing the body again. More haymakers and uppercuts from Cheeseman and he gets through with a couple more. BIG rocketing counter from García, wobbling Cheeseman, who nonetheless keeps moving forward. They clinch briefly. García blocks a lead right and floats a jab into the face. Wild looping right by Cheeseman, missing by a mile. García uses that high elbow-blocking/shoving trick again, using the jab like a machete to get inside and scoring a short uppercut.

    Round 12

García is moving a few steps around, then jabbing, then another few steps, right cross. García has Cheeseman wrapped around his little finger - but CHEESEMAN WITH A RIGHT HAND! Sneaked in, probably a lucky/serendipitous blow, although it got the Spaniard's attention. No real follow-through of note from Cheeseman. García is able to reestablish that rhythm boxing on the outside. García is flitting away from the corner, almost teleporting like Nightcrawler from the X-Men with both hands by his sides, all of a sudden now standing with an identical stance two feet to his left. Cheeseman willingly steps through counter jabs & uppercuts while loading up with haymakers, bashing down on García, landing one in maybe ten, but hurtful when he does. García toughs it out and keeps up the smooth work behind that jab.

    10-9 García

    117-111 García
