My point is he rates himself too highly. He has done a good job, no doubt... but he is no genius like our resident Bot. Matchroom has been a name in boxing for decades, they are a highly profitable company, he comes in, uses his father's money (nothing wrong with that good luck to him) signs up the best fighters (no genius, we all know who they are) pays them more than any other promoter (dads cash again) then gets the SKY deal (thanks to dads connections at Sky over 20 years, Darts etc... even fishing) and some of you proclaim him to be the next coming? come on.... you could all do it... I have faith in you.
Have to say I like Hearn. Comes across well in interviews seems like a sound bloke. Bottom line is he is running a business and wants to make money but who doesn't. He has put on some great shows fair play to him
To answer you: Daddy did not do it as he was building Darts worldwide and chairman of World snooker. Calculated guesswork? could you expand on this so I can give a more precise answer? Is it hard to sell the best boxers, who you pay the most to? Was it genius to sign up Luke Campbell? or can we all see it? Froch? already a WC when signed... if you could give me the genius? Now Hearn Senior.... absolute 24ct GENIUS.
Eddie's everything promoter, manager, coach ,physio, nutrionist and strength and conditioner. same he knows **** all on boxing
All the kids on here don't realise Matchroom were around 20 + years ago. I mean Barry Hearn was putting on big shows when Eddie's Mum was still wiping his arse.
bit of a find this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp6Vi-qz7TY old skool bazza documentary featuring a much younger FW
Good on him for not takin the easy way and getting hooked on weed, drink, valium, crack, heroin etc and trashing the family name like some in privelaged positions do
