The ABA is a poor organisation.... Amateur shows degenerate into blow job fests. The judges are blind, bored and bent as a nine bob note, I hate the way they carry on.
No wonder the judges are bored! I watched a thing on ESPN Classic, with 80's Olympians and a brief feature on DLH - the boxing was of a much higher standard. Granted, the likes of Whitaker, Lewis, Bowe, Jones et al are a level above what the likes of DeGale, Khan, Solis etc can even think about getting to, but still....... The boxing actually looked like boxing. Now - having never boxed myself, I may be wrong, but the way they threw punches and defended appears to be technically correct. These days, lunging in, holding, running, bizarre open scoring etc.
What a bunch of bitter beblazered *******s the ABA are. This is typical of the sort of sad **** who run a lot of amateur sports associations and it sounds like they were jealous of the attention and praise Edwards was getting and the loyalty he inspired in his boxers and wanted to let everyone know who was in charge.
Got to feel for Edwards, do you think they realise it's an acheivement for them to get to the olympics not just dissapointing to not have everyone a medal, this isn't cycling. It does seem like we are doing our best to make 2012 a steaming pile of ****.
