    Over three hours ago. :blood

This card took place in Monte Carlo, dude...which is located in Europe. It's now 3:30am there.

There is no American nighttime boxing tonight. (except Boxeo Telemundo in a couple of hours)

No, the prize was a million.

Hence the "Million Dollar Super Four". :thumbsup

    I missed the interviews earlier.

Rodriguez calls out Sakio Bika!! :bbb

Also, jumping on Grachev early and blasting him out of there was apparently Ronnie Shields' game plan all along. :think They must have done their homework and realized how easy to hit Grachev is and gambled on Rodriguez's fully unleashed power being enough to crack even a good chin.

No. The winner gets the better half of the split (600K) of a million dollars. The loser gets the smaller (400K).

A bit stupid seeing it was supposed to be a million dollar tourney. Still, big money thrown around for two contenders and far-from stars.

My card for Makabu vs. Kucher:

    R1 10-9 Kucher on counter-punches in bunches & defense.

R2 10-9 Kucher, 20-17 Kucher - although Makabu got in some nice body licks.

R3 10-9 Makabu, 29-28 Kucher as Makabu finds a home for the left cross and puts his punches together.

R4 10-9 Makabu, 38-38 with Kucher getting pushed back and forced to shoeshine constantly just to stay competitive.

WBC Open Scoring: 39-37 Kucher, 38-38, 39-38 Makabu

R5 10-9 Makabu, 48-47 Makabu edging the body punching battle and landing some big right hooks

R6 10-9 Makabu, 58-56 with Kucher getting back to his rhythm with jabs and straight combos to control the early action. Brilliant 1-2 by the southpaw with a minute left, however. Kucher then made a nice adjustment turning southpaw himself but Makabu still closed stronger.

R7 10-9 Makabu, 68-65 Makabu with Kucher avoiding the power until the last minute, getting his nose bloodied by a left and then rocked in the closing moments by a left uppercut. Close one.

R8 10-9 Kucher, 78-74 Makabu with Kucher hurt multiple times by left uppercuts.

WBC Open Scoring: 77-75 Makabu, 77-75 Makabu, 78-75 Makabu

R9 10-9 Kucher, 87-84 Makabu with Kucher staying on the body with high volume and covering his own well to negate Makabu but still getting caught increasingly near the end of the round.

R10 10-9 Kucher, 96-94 Makabu with Kucher doing the superior body work, staying busier, and landing a stiff jab. Makabu as usual came on late but didn't steal this one. Kucher actually stood in the pocket during the final ten seconds after the clap and landed a great 1-2 but got clocked by an overhand left.

R11 10-9 Kucher, 105-104 Makabu with Kucher managing to push Makabu back at times and finding much success with the right hand to the body followed by the left hook up top. Hefty body shots by Makabu, though...and of course a surge of left uppercuts in the final moments.

R12 10-9 Kucher, 114-114 with Makabu tiring and trying to counter off the ropes but getting lit up with straight combos. Makabu had isolated moments where he landed a lot but they were all weak punches. Kucher put him in a bad spot at the end, closing better for once. Extremely clear for Kucher.

    DRAW. :good

Missed the Rodriguez-Grachev annihilation (was watching Brook-Jones II) and didn't see it till now.

    Jeeeeeeeeez.

Edwin's been boxing more carefully as of late, but he can still go into mad bomber mode with the best of 'em.

    Just saw the KO.

Wow! What an onslaught by Edwin. I'm not going to read into it too incredibly much, but that was the best result possible against a quality opponent. Crude or not, in his last 3 Grachev KO'd Sillakh (regarded as the "chosen one at LHW" heading in) and split 24 rounds with Bute and Erdei. That is quality.
