Damn good fight. Televised Co-feature of Sergio Martinez-Matthew Macklin on HBO. It will take place on 3-17 @ MSG.

Edwin Rodriguez. I've seen both fight in person (George many times). Edwin Rodriguez seems special to me and he has a bright future, George not so much. I see Rodriguez stopping him late. George is open to be hit and while he does have pop I can't see him doing enough to outpoint Rodriguez.

rodriguez also tends to get hit a lot, and george has the type of pop to change the fight with one punch. i have a hard time seeing rodriguez avoiding georges power for the full fight. george also has the better jab and will do a better job of setting up his power shots. i dont see rodriguez making it to the final bell, but it should be a great fight and i cant wait

George got completely outboxed by Adama and got a hometown decision here. He put Adama down but that wasn't really enough to get him a points when. Rodriguez has enough power to keep George at bay (probably hurt him too) and definitely is a much more skilled and well-rounded boxer.

If were getting super technical it's not actually at MSG either. It's actually The Theater @ MSG. :D

Should be a nice fight, I'd go with Rodriguez by decision but a late stoppage wouldn't be a shock. I hope the winner doesn't go straight to a shot at Bute but instead has to win atleast one more fight. Neither guy is ready for Bute and could use all the experience they can get before facing him.

completely outboxed, hometown decision? it was a good competitive fight which george landed the harder more damaging shots. i dont recall one reporter or site giving adama that decision. adama is no scrub either, hes proven that since the loss. adama is better then anyone on edwins resume

You can make a case that George maybe won by a point, but the cards were horrible. I wasn't the only person in attendance who immediately noticed what an awful job the judges did in scoring that bout.

it was a close fight, and the one judge that had it 79-72 or something was blind. i was there as well and thought the knockdown won the fight for george. to say he was completely outboxed and to call it a hometown decision is a bit harsh though
