He obviously achieved a lot in becoming a two weight world champ and was very skillfull with a monster punch, however most people tend to believe he could have achieved a lot more if not for his love of drugs and partying. I noticed he is not talked about often and was wondering what the general conception of him was. Also how credible was his WBA 140 pound title champion he beat (Loreto Garza)? Was he little better than a stiff or a good champion?

Yeah, Rosario was a heavy handed Ko artist. I always loved how he blasted Camacho with the right in the 5th round of their fight. Camacho was lucky "El Chapo" broke his hand.

Loretto Garza wasn't a good Champion in my opinion, he did have a nice record. From what I recall, he was only making his first or second defense of that belt. He never really fought many greats. After his loss to Rosario he only fought like two more times.

Those elbows out fighters get solved. Tszyu had by far the longest duration. But that elbows out style gets solved and it happened to Rosario just like it happened to his stablemate Gomez. It's great for offensive leverage on punches but it certainly leaves big holes defensively. Boxing is a tough tough sport to leave wide openings for the opposition.
