And your assumptions are wrong. YEs i did see that fight against HUmberto Toledo who was wiped out by Humberto Soto at 130 on the Versus network...

Styles makes fights and Toledo didnt want to be in there with Presscott.. YEs i wasn't impressed by him but Toledo was cheating the whole time... A fighter with that kinda attitude can make anyone look bad..

But Presscott is more skilled, has decent power, and undefeated which makes him more of a threat than Katsidis.

SelfKill, welcome to the land of Valero nuthuggers, you won't be able to talk any sense into them, and sadly it seems that Hoya-UK has got caught up in the hype too!

Katsidis would smash Valero, Hell, old Casamor would.

But Valero can get better, and I enjoy watching him. I won't let the nuthuggers put me off him, he's exciting, but he went life and death with Mosquera, who is C level at best.

Pitalua is a start (of sorts) though at the moment he's as much a Champ as Andre Bero is.

And Prescott is awful, Toledo showed just how bad Khan's chin is by taking a lot of hits and haing Pescott running at one point.

Tony DeMarco seems good, but Katsidis has mixed in better circles, and woud be the perfect fight for Valero next up. DeMarco needs another figh before he takes on Valero.

If not, why not Guzman? Let's assume Guzman can make weight-He has the speed, skills and chin to beat Valero, we would truly see how good Valeo is.

Edner Cherry would be a step up for Valero in all honesty

Guilty. Nah, come on, I'm being realistic about Valero. I haven't said anything that is totally unreasonable or nuthuggerish.

If he can learn to keep his chin down and get some more head and body movement the man will be lethal.

Yodsanan Nanthanchai was a good solid puncher with a victories over Steve Forbes and Lakva Sim. Mosquera beat them, but couldn't beat Valero.

Pitalua may be 40, but stopped a Jose Santa Cruz that was outright robbed of a decision win against Casamayor.

Valero may not be the second coming, yet, but he's still faced some decent fighters, along with the usual suspects, and has handled them in much the same fashion either way.

    Great post.. Real nice..

See I don't understand why these " boxing fans " can't realize that Mosquera was a good opponent for Valero at the time.. They dont know that FACT that Mosquera had a win over Yodsanan Nanthanchai which was viewed as an upset.. These guys dont know that Nanthanchai himself was a very good fighter with wins over forbes and the mongolian Sim who gave Juan Diaz his first tough fight...

I can't stand the ignorance sometimes.. people dont know Mosquera and just talk out of their asses.

This is another way of knowing how many serious boxing fans there are on this forum...

By listening to their opinion of Mosquera..

Alot of folks have been exposing themselves by speaking on things which they are not even sure about.

Mosquera was a solid fighter and a decent win but nothing special. He's not shite, but nothing great all. And neither was/is Pitalua, though again it was a decent test.

He's an exciting fighter, he punches hard, hes quick, he picks his punches pretty well, and he's got a great killer instinct, but he's still flawed, he's still a bit wild, he still leaves his chin wide open to hit, and his boxing skills still aren't polished.

So why is it you and Jeff M have to build this guy up and say he'd knock out Hatton or JMM or Pacquiao or Campbell. There's no evidence to prove that because he hasn't fought let alone beat anybody at that kind of level.

I have nothing against Valero, but frankly when people build him up as great and make ridiculous comments saying he's going to knock out all these world-class fighters, and everybody up to 140lbs as Jeff claimed, it makes it hard for people on this forum to become a fan.

Then I apologise if I've got it confused.

I know it was Jeff that said he'd knock out Hatton, Campbell, Pacquiao and Marquez, I thought you may of mentioned guys like JMM & Pacquiao aswell.

Again I apologise if you haven't.

Valero is not a porspect, hes a champ. and hes the #1 contender for Marquez. does Marquez take the fight? I dont knowe, but if Diaz hurt him he will get KO in the 2nd round by Valero. I also think Valero is faster then Marquez too. of course Marquez is the better boxer but sometimes that doesnt mean crap. espacially when you get hit as much as Marquez does.
