In 20 years Valero will by some mythical beast who was the greatest of his era and would have KO'd anybody in his path.

In reality, he was a hype job ready to be exposed. And a ****.

who knows what this bike accident + all the boxing that us commissions would not cover did to his brain. first, jump the ko artist's band wagon. second, drop stupid comments after more and more signs of mental instability come to surface. third, start outrageous bashing and irrational hatred after he kills his wife (sure, it's a sad act..). finally, it's time to celebrate again as that maniac executes his self. he deserved it.

overall, i can not agree. never was a big fan, still, this story is ****ing sad from all angles. also, i don't know if he was a victim of the sport, crazy by nature or whatever.. why should i judge anyway. why are you? and remember: all these opportunists will be first to tell their grand children about what a great he was, 28/28 ko's, most of them in the first round.. "he could've beaten pacquiao and changed history".

Because the piece of **** killed his wife. I know, it's just a minor detail but I can't get past it.

Ok then, if the death penalty doesn't deter the crime, if it's costing the tax payers more money, and if it's creating more grieving families, then what exactly is the benefit of the death penalty?

Who would be killing these murderers that you think should be killed?

When Nallege dies, the scientists should study his brain to find out what causes idiotic ESB posters

The amount of money it costs is more an issue of allowing appeals for decades in a row, and I don't care much about it either as justice is more important than money to me. The family grieves over imprisonment as well, but most importantly if you can't allow emotions of the victims family to influence justice, you sure as hell can't allow those of the perps family to influence it. In other words, tough deal. Their grief was caused by their sibling choosing to be a murderer, just like the grieving of the victims family (and I know all about that).

And like I said it DOES deter crime, that particular killer will never kill again. And yes that matters a lot to me, murder victims may just be statistics to you but not to me. The primary benefit of the death penalty is that justice is served.

The only reason it costs money is the stupid manner in which we perform it and the constant appeals involved usually.

We could simply do all executions by hanging, i wonder what would cost tax payers more money, to send filth to classes, feed them, clothe them, ect... for 15 plus years.... or hang them?

You know that's not what's meant by a crime deterent. Locking the guy up in jail for life would also prevent them from killing again. Killing a murderer is not justice, it's vegence. It's amazing that the United States is the only developed nation that still has the death penalty.
