The guy was a great fighter to watch ... but jeese the guy had too many demons ! Sad waste of his wifes life ! ... RIP to them both ..
Took the easy way out. Why the hell couldn't he skip the stab the wife to death part? Insane. Simply insane.
This is truly sad. I can't believe this is happening. Just a month ago, Valero's dream of making it big in boxing was coming true after patiently waiting all these years. His career survived in an almost "underground" following with boxing fans watching his fights from YouTube. In fact, I think he's the first and most popular boxer to be promoted that way. At the brink of great success, everything is taken away from him including his own life, and his wife. Very sad, and very tragic. I don't think anyone could write a story as bad as this. RIP to both Edwin Valero and his wife especially, and hopefully their children can grow up with normal lives.
Honestly, I blame the Venenzuelan medical and legal community on this. They could have done more to protect Edwin and his wife's lives. It really didn't have to happen this way. It all seems so clumsy to me.

One day somebody will make a movie about this trajic situation. There most be more to his life then we know, that caused this
The whole thing is just tragic. The guy clearly had severe problems, and you have to wonder why somebody held in such high regard in his home country couldn't be saved from himself. Just everything about this sorry incident is tragic.
