Valero really doesn't hit THAT hard. You will see when he fights a top class fighter who knows how to avoid wild winging shots and throw straight shots down the middle.

Any of these at LW will destroy him; Campbell, Funeka (even Funeka!!!) JMM, Juan Diaz, Hell, I even think Katsidis would beat him.

Valero's skillset is shocking and as soon as he slightly stepped up (Mosquera) he was taken into the 10th round and dropped himself in the early rounds.

I like watching him fight, he's damn exciting. But to think he would cause Hatton any sort of problems, even in a sparring contest, is a joke.

I heard somewhere that he was 'the big replacement' Hatton was talking about when Manny was thinking of pulling out and Ricky was going to fight at Wembley instead.

Not so much FAST but RELENTLESS and pretty slick in Sparring. You wouldn't guess that Ed has skills from watching his fights b/c he's so reliant on his power but in sparring he proves he does have skills. But his speed is probably what hattons is. Good choice for getting in shape and getting in good hard rounds but it won't prepare you for what to expect with PAC.

:rofl Yeah,...keep telling yourself that. Sparring or judging a fighter by his sparring IS NOT....and I repeat! IS NOT a good way to guage how a fighter is IN THE RING at all. It's a good way to work on skills, sharpness and timing. Its also a great way to stay in shape! But if you judge fighters on their sparring and sparring alone you will be in for a true surprise if you expect them to fight the same way or preform the same way in an actual boxing match or fight.

If Ricky can spar with Valero good enough which we hope to hear news of,what would the odds of a Pacquiao victory be then?
