- He has been denied a U.S. visa because of a drunk-driving charge in Texas. He claims he was turned down because of his strong support for Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, a vocal critic of U.S. foreign policy in Latin America. - He also had a severe motorcycle accident in February 2001 that left him with a fractured skull and required surgery to remove a blood clot. He eventually failed a pre-fight exam in New York. He was handed an indefinite suspension that effectively banned him from fighting in the United States. How can he get bigger if he is not allowed to fight in the US? soto in mexico? bradley in uk?
he should fight kevin mitchell in the uk then asuming he gets the W maybe tempt khan with return uk tour
He should come over and fight in the UK, would be great to see him over here, get him more recognised aswell
He'll be fine. Arum will find a way. That man will sell his soul and entire family for fortune. I'm on the Valero bandwagon. But let's not get too carried away. He still has a lot to prove. Let's take it one step at a time. So far so good though.
Its true if he signed with warren the piece of **** he is he will be able to get valero some big fights and licensing shouldn't be a problem
Arum couldnt find a way to get Clottey's trainer over here. I really dont think Arum gives a **** about the fighters, just whatever money he can make off them. Oh I agree though like the others about giving Valero some time and working his way up to better competition. There are already people asking if he should jump to 140 or if he should fight Pac..... thats just stupid. He looked great and I dont want to see him loose, I want to see him get better and there is enough fights at 135 to keep him busy for a while.
for a big fight he'll easily get a visa, money talks in the US, but to be a big fighter he doesnt need to fight in the US htere're a lot of places were big fightes can get done
uk, germany, mexico, canada maybe (big maybe). yeah lets see him take on soto in mexico, mitchell in london, bradley maybe there to.
They've been trying to get his medical suspension overturned for a while now and apparently the chances are good that he'll be allowed to fight in the US soon.
