Edwin Valero VS Acelino Freitas

When he started upping his competition, he was knocked down, and his streak of KO wins were put in limbo. Frankly speaking, his recent wins were mostly TKOs, and you would very well say his power will really diminish once he fights real boxers with good chin.

The bad thing about this is, his power is his only weapon. He can't box, his movement is crude, and he lacks even an average defense, and when he can not hit nor hurt his man, it would be a long night for him.

Check his fights with Mosquera and Honmo, and you would get an idea on how he would fare against a legit competition.

I'd say his duel with Pitualo will be a make or break fight.

Diaz is not crude! He is a disciplined, technically superior boxer.

Valero is exclusively a headhunter who relies too much on his power and nothing else. Doesn't box well and nada defense to boot.

Freitas hasn't fought in two years.

Barrios however would give Valero a tough fight, even now. I think Valero would beat him though.

Even though Juan Diaz is feather fisted, he probably hits harder than Mosquera, who had Valero wobbled and down. Juan Diaz, providing he's not been too damanged to the loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, would baffle Valero with his movement and persistance, and force a stoppage on him much like he did Julio Diaz and Freitas.


Hell, even shot Casamayor will beat Valero. The guy's a hypejob.
