I know this thread already exists, but I'll add a poll and see what the general consensus is. To be honest, this is the first match-up I've gotten excited about for ages. We've been in somewhat of a drout over the last month, but I envision a good competitive fight tonight. I think DeMarco is the best fighter Valero has faced so far, and vice versa. Will Valero establish himself as a premier fighter or will his power be exposed as a myth? Intriguing. Demarco's a really nice guy too, and I like how he delivers his shots. His straight left reminds me of Arguello's straight right with the way he throws it down the pipe.

    Who wins?

I think DeMarco will have success early and be ahead in the fight until he gets caught and elects to go to war rather than box, resulting in him being KTFO.

I'm 50/50 on this fight - I'd like both guys to prove they are the dominant force in their division. However, I'd hate to see either guy lose big. A back and forth battle would be favorable but then I can hear the critics saying, so and so is not good enough because he struggled. What do I think? Let me just enjoy watching what will happen tonight, a very good night for boxing fans! :bbb

Valero KO 11 is my guess. I have to say, I am excited to finally see this guy fight live. Some say he is a hype job ready to be exposed, but to me he is a skilled bad ass with knockout power. He is like a smaller, but better version of Ricardo Mayorga. I read that he lives a pretty reckless life too. Guys like that usually don't remain at their best for very long. Let's see if Valero can suprise us and be one of the great ones. Of course he won't prove greatness in one fight, well not against DeMarco, but tonight is a good start.

My head says Valero, but my heart says DeMarco. I think they both have star quality.

DeMarco I hope. I just put 388 on him on the fantasy betting, lol. I seriously think he has a chance at winning as long as he doesn't get in a war as Antwuan Maxx said.

Valero by hard KO. De Marco a bit tough but I think he will eventually fall.

How good of a Chin does Valero have? Looking through his opposition he has had a lot of hand picked and home town fights. Has he taken a punch from a power puncher yet?
