Prescott has a lot of power but shows a bit of boxing ability, Valero hasn't shown much to me. Who would win out of these monsters?
That's cause you have not seen Valero's ability..lol..He's way beyond Prescott in power and skill...Prescott is not really a monster compared to Valero but nobody is really...
Hmm...that's a good match up. Guzman's got lot's a skill but I don't know if he could handle Valero's pressure. I'd like to see that fight down the road sometime.
don't you think guzman handled soto's pressure very well at 130? well i guess you look at valero as a different beast compared to humberto, you valerotard.
i've watched some of his fights and i somewhat agree with you that valero has some skills. he was kind of underrated back then when they were at 130 maybe because is just fighting in japan. valero is a big guy and moving up to 135 could be benificial for him. if he does made it big someday, i'll give you props. it all starts by beating pituala and if he could get a unification match against jmm.
Let me put it this way..if Guzman traded with Valero like he did Soto in the first 2 rounds..the fight would be over in 2..lol
Im not sold on Valero. Then again Prescott hasnt shown me much too. Screw it, Ill go for Prescott by KO. I see potential in the kid.
i know my opinion will probably come under heavy fire, but, hey...valero is hard to take seriously--his chin, his reflexes, his stamina--principally because of his previous traumatic brain injury from the now notorious motorbike crash several years ago. i think it is dangerous and irresponsible that he is even able to be cleared to fight by any of the sactioning bodies or athletic comissions. that said, biophysically he is at a massively increased risk not only for severe brain injury, but also, more practically, to be knocked unconcious or dazed by a punch. that is an indisputable medical fact based on the nature and cause of his previous injuries. so, i think, the only way i could have any faith in him--not that he should be fighting anyhow--is if he was a willie pep level defensive genius, which he most certainly is not. i expect he will be knocked out the first time a big puncher hits him cleanly with a big shot...which, no matter any claim otherwise, has NOT happened yet in his career. prescott, i think, too, is overrated based on knocking out a porcelain jawed khan with looping shots. however, khan has a big enough punch that if it lands, i would fear seriously for more than valero's unbeaten record. valero has power, no doubt about it, but he is at least as wide and imprecise a puncher as prescott and does not use his jab to do much setting up, so he has to brawl his way in. it's just a tragedy waiting to happen and every naive and unrealisit (not to mention academically uninformed) goofball who says he should be permitted to fight in the states would mourn and ask why. ridiculous.
You need understand that sometimes a minor injury that has anything to do with the brain can lead to a fighter losing their license even if they are in no more danger than any other fighter. Your Khan remark is too idiotic to even expand on. Considering Valero has been checked by doctors all over the world, including multiple top doctors in America and cleared to fight, you're way off base. Valero has been hit a lot harder than anything feather fisted Khan has thrown and he's fine..lol..
That could be one of the worst picks ever if Valero were to waste his time with Prescott, but it is coming from you so no surprise.
Which top lightweight might struggle with Valeros mad style or would have a hard time to adjust and deal with it. The only one I can think of is Khan constantly moving back but it would be interesting to see how his speed would play with him. As far as Prescott, I think he will put Valero on the back foot, or maybe as crazy as Valero is will scare him and chase him around the ring.
