Valero gets the Popo Treatment who was a better fighter then Valero him self. Chico by beat down in 8. Valero was a good fighter but Chico beats him in almost every dept.
Lets see, chin-valero, speed-valero, power-valero, boxing ability-valero... stamina- valero.... yea chico beats him in every dept.
Giving Valero the stamina and boxing ability advantage without putting much thought into it as you seem to have is ridiculous.
Ok stamina was close and I'll give chico the nod in the "heart" dept! Listen I respect the hell out of chico, but I feel valero was on another level...:bbb
Edwin never got a big fight... It doesnt mean he didnt fight good fighters (de marco, mosquera, pitalua!) It doesnt mean he never wanted to fight the great fighters like bradley, pac, guzman! The kid wanted to fight them all, He just never got his shot!!
ummm... no, no, no and no. The truth is that we don't know about Valero. It's possible he could have performed at the level that Chico reached. Maybe. Corrales was a wrecking ball of a fighter, destroying everyone he got in the ring with until he met Mayweather. Valero LOOKED like he might have been special, but we don't know that. He didn't decimate anyone that Chico wouldn't have decimated just as quickly, and just as brutally. Corrales doesn't lose to anyone except Great Fighters - caps intended. We have no idea if Valero could have become a Great Fighter, and given what we know about his personal habits, particularly the daily cocaine abuse, I think it's very unlikely that he would have ever reached his potential had he lived. The version of Valero that existed at his death I don't think could handle Chico Corrales.
