I think Valero has great power but his boxing style is quite crude sort a reminds me of Ponce de Leon though not as slow. He wades in winging and is very exposed but his power gets him through.

Humberto Soto is a decent technician with a little pop if Valero cant get by a Soto type opponent he will never get by the other elites at 135 like Marquez and Pac, if he moves up to 135. I wonder what a fight between Soto and Valero at 130 would look like and who would win?

Soto UD. He fought better opposition and is better then Valero in most aspects of the game except power. He has a good beard and i think he would beat Valero on the inside to make his wild power shots ineffective most of the fight.

post it. I think you're talking about Valero sparring Morales, and from what i remember Morales landed so many right hands it was rediculous.

whether its mab or morales, please post it.

It is sparring and its Morales, sorry...the vid gave me a different perspective on Valero and his versatility, anyhow Valero would crush Soto. Valero is the second fighter in the ring

Sure Morales got his licks in but nowhere near what Valero landed on him

Valero wins this ffight in devastating fashion ... I think the deciding factor of this fight would be Valero's speed, call him what you want to, his speed is top notch and so is his power. Soto doesn't have much speed which was shown against Guzman.

I remember seeing that session and I don't remember Morales owning him at all ... in fact I think Valero was doing pretty good considering the different levels of experience. I know that its just sparring but Valero got some good work in against a world class opponent.

Valero also did good against M.A.B in preperation for his fight with Manny Pacquiao ...

well maybe you see Valero owning Morales but i really don't see it at all.

actually i don't think Morales "owned" Valero. Valero looks good in that vid. But i think Morales looked a cut above.

btw you never bumped our thread about JMM vs Casa :D
