Why the hell is Mayorga fighting for another title? Let him take on a top five fighter first. What happened to fighting Angulo?

Great fight!Soto is a huge junior lightweight and has been wanting to move up,it will only help him.Don't know who would win that one but it would be great.
Santos vs Mayorga is also a great match-up.

    Why not?
He withdrew from the Angulo fight and the mexican is busy now.

Soto has all the technique, boxing acumen and ring intelligence but Valero is faster and more powerful. If there's one thing that troubles Humberto Soto it's pure speed, Valero has enough of it to make Soto look poor. Not to mention having tremendous power.

Sounds like a fun night at the fights.

Yep,agreed, question is if Valero doesn't put him away early can he take Soto's pressure down the stretch?
And altough there is a chance I doubt he takes Soto out early.

Soto and Mayorga will be adding new belts to their collection.

Thunder, maybe that was the whole idea in the first place. The offer was brought up and all of a sudden Mayorga was hurt for the Angulo fight. I still would have liked Mayorga to have beaten Angulo to make the Santos fight more inticing.

Yeah,injury........that's what he says........maybe it's even true, and it could very well be but at least as good a reason is the money. He flat out asked for a bigger purse after accepting the initial one.
I agree with you but it's not like Santos holds the linear title.Dude is inactive as hell too.
    It's a good fight.

Awesome, don't forget Valero still has to deal with Prescott.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Valero went to train at Wildcard with Freddy, could Freddy turn him into another Pacquiao? Pacquiao was like Valero before he got to Wildcard, too power happy and no boxing skills.

Deal what with Prescott? He plainly refused the fight saying he ''needs big fights for big money''.
