damm this is a good matchup. I would love for Casamayor to school Valeros ass. Too slick and too smart for Valero. Sorry Jeff I have no faith in Valero

The problem with casamayor even though he was reported to be 36 he is closer to 40 believe me the man still got skillz but he is too aged

Maybe not yet, but give him time! He'll prove himself. He's had major set-backs but he's gotten through it!

Valero has a weird straight-up style but the guy has serious power and serious heart. Casa would have schooled Velero five years ago .... but as "Cubanborn87" stated he's getting up there in age now. And unless Casa needs the paper ... don't get in the ring with Valero.

Barrios is friggin done for. He doesn't deserve a title fight. Valero needs to stop being a ***** and fight someone decent. Casamayor would school him, I'd love to see that one and full credit to Valero if beats Casa.

Casa would get starched within a few rounds.

Don't be soo hard on Valero .... you forget he was banned from fighting in the states until recently.

Banned since 2004 and just got a TX license in 2009.

I'd actually favor Valero in all honesty. He did look decent against Pitalua, and he is at least as skilled as Katsidis. If he has the chin, he could take Casamayor out late in the fight.

there are plenty of fighters Valero can face to prove he is more than another Ponce de Leon . My question is why aint it happening? there must be a reason and well it makes me wonder.....

    i hear you.

all i know is that valero ducked prescott talking about he only wants big money fights... and mind you, prescott is also undefeated with a high KO%. -this fight would have been a war.

I hope not! Valero by decapitation. Casa just isn't what he used to be and against a young powerhouse...plz NO!

Howabout Edwin V. against Katsidis or MAB.

Kim says there's a good chance he will fight Vicente Escobedo August 22nd as the co-feature to a Juan Diaz headlined Boxing After Dark.

He also says Valero-Casamayor could take place "on September 19th, as part of a pay-per-view show that will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas."
