It doesn't necessarily mean that, but when it comes specifically to Edwin Valero being discussed in h2h matchups on ESB that is exactly what happens. :deal

And yes, numbers do ****ing lie. Ever heard of Tyrone Brunson?

Granted, it's obvious that Valero was much better than Brunson but he wasn't the minitature Mike Tyson people still like to believe he was.

Marquez stops the Hugo Chavez sympathizer.

For all of his physical prowess, the gulf in skill and intelligence between Edwin and Marquez would nonetheless have been very apparent had they fought. Further, Edwin's chin was suspected to be glass. Marquez has shown indomitable will and courage in not just addressing, but overcoming or at least riding out challenges.

Challenges, which I might add, are of a whole different caliber than Valero ever encountered.

Anyone who thinks Marquez destorys Valero is out of their mind ..Lets not forget this is not Juan Diaz or Micahel Katsidas !

Or an old Joel Casamayor !

Sorry, but not once did he ever prove himself to be much better than any of the three.

You have to remember that DeMarco is pretty average as far as titlists go. Linares was outboxing him just as easily as Valero did, just wasn't hurting him as much. Valero wasn't some amazing boxer-puncher. He was an okay boxer, and a formidable puncher at super featherweight who looked to have lost a bit of snap at 135.

I'd honestly pick the focused young version of Baby Bull (from before he got his law degree and saw the light at the end of the tunnel) to upset Valero with his ridiculously high volume and iron chin.

And due to his stupidity he never got the chance but with that said ,Marquez never destroyed anyone that make me think he could destory a guy like Valero

    Lost to Chris John

Got a gift against an old MAB

And went life and death 3 times against Manny ..Sorry don't see how he destroys Valero !

And the Baby Bull would have been made into a skirt steak had he fought Edwin .. JMM would have had a hard time with him no question ..

If this fight would come real, I don't really think Marquez would last 12 rounds with Valero.. I remember back then when Valero was asking JMM for a fight and JMM ducked the guy.. But I don't blame him, JMM is an intelligent fighter and he knew that Valero would have spoiled the Pac-JMM III.. :deal

i have heard of brunson and i know what your saying but fighters were genuinely scared of valeros power hurtful power in every shot.
whilst he did not achive what tyson did i rekon he was more mentaly ****ed than tyson, as i have posted some where eles you could tell he was either going to kill some one in the ring or out of it some time down the line.:rasta

No. Higher KO% (against comparatively laughable opposition) doesn't mean he hit harder. Peel your eyes away from Boxrec and watch some of Pacquiao at super featherweight before making a statement like that.

I have a better view of how Pac was fighting and how hard Pac is throwing his punches because I have watched how Pacquioa fought even before his first knocked out loss..

You are the type of guy who watches mainstream boxers only, that you thought Valero's opposition was laughable.. :patsch
Have you ever seen how Takehiro Shimada fights? How about Antonio Pitalua?
And you immediately nullify the first KO loss of DeMarco by saying that he is still unproven.. :patsch

27 fights with 27 KO? Still not worth it to claim that he hits harder than Pac? Or you just thought that all of those 27 boxers have glass jaws.. :bart

Face the truth, JMM ducked Valero because he was afraid of having his first KO loss.. :deal That would lead to Pac-JMM III just an imagination for JMM.. :smoke
