Valero is an exceptional puncher....and he has a chance, but it's unlikely for a couple of reasons....#1 is speed and #2 is he is a seasoned Vet now. Ed is very good no doubt but he needs a couple of QUALITY and I mean ELITE level guys to test the waters and prepare him for PAC before jummping right in to the lions den. He can defiinitly beat pac if he can grab some much needed Elite level experience. Not to **** on the guys he has faught...but none of them are on the level of his former sparring partner MAB and definitly not on PAC's level.
Even tho someone has a low KO ratio, it doesn't mean that they have enough power to knock someone down.... When Mosquera fought 3K Battery, he scored quite a few knockdowns.. And that was Mosquera's step up fight... Just like this was Valero's step up fight... Valero scored KD's in that fight and yes it was exciting, however it had to be stopped.... For the record, Nedal Hussein hurt Manny and dropped him.. And the way he looked, had it been a different referee like Tony Weeks, that fight would have been stopped.. That just came to mind just now... So don't build up Pacman as a guy who can't be hurt... Valero can bang, that we know... And when he has stepped up in his biggest step up he did succeed.... It'll be a good fight while it last... Manny does have the advantage of being in with the better quality, but this is boxing and anything can happen on any given night... Just ask Sechew Powell...
