Ooooh great fight.... It will come down to who has the better chin I think. Maidana is bigger...Ed may have more power...But well see how or if Ed can move up effectively while keeping his power. Thats a big question mark.
Yeah, so long as you're saying it's harder for Khan. Khan does the ******ed walk from either Valero or Maidana.
I can't in good conscience pick Valero over a legit 140 lber just yet. I don't think I'd be comfortable with picking him against Maidana, Bradley, Malignaggi, Urango or any one of those guys at the 140 lb division.
yer these threads are gettin annoying, but edwin would beat maidana, i dnt get all the hype with maidana, he gt knockd down by ortiz a few times, ortiz looks like a little school boy, lost kotelnik, who lost to khan, and now everyone says he wil KTFO khan!? i think valero v khan would be awesome, pure explosion, i think if khan aint to fats for valero, then valero wins KO
He beat the highest rated prospect in Victor Ortiz. His loss to Kotelnik was very close and disputable, in fact some people think he won (one judge did at least). There's also the styles that play into this fight. It's a lot close rthan you think pal.
I think alot of people are getting too ahead of themselves after watching just one meaningful fight of Valero. Don't get me wrong, the dude exceeded our expectations the other night, and showed some neat skills. But remember, it's just ONE performance. It's certainly not something that suggests he can and will make a jump to 140 so easily. He's only spent 1 year at lightweight, and unfortunately none of those fights were against best of the division. So before even thinking about the likes of Bradley or Maidana, I'd like to see him take on and beat Juan Diaz next, a respectable but beatable opponent, and one that will get him some serious recognition. This guy can become a superstar if handled correctly, and I for one am hoping he gets to that status will full force
