Might have to pick Valero. I don't think Spadafora had the power to keep Valero's respect and could end up being forced to fight Valero's fight. Valero was also an underrated boxer himself and he displayed some good boxing skills against another southpaw in Antonio DeMarco.
Paulie fought slightly better opposition. Difficult to determine where Valero's career was headed because he was unproven against next level competition. I might favor Paulie by SD in a close fight.
