Valero was a massive puncher and that would trouble Ortiz just like it did in the Maidana fight. Valero KO/TKO 9. Basically I see this as a slightly more one sided version Maidana fight.

Valero makes him quit as well. Haven't see the Campbell fight so I'm basing this off the Maidana fight. However is Valero too small for 140? He looked huge at 135 so IDK.

I don't know... Maybe Ortiz catches him early (if he's not gunshy). Or Valero does the same.

    What about Maidana Valero.

Usually when big punches see that you're taking their punch well, they get discouraged and they begin to fade... In Valero's case, against Mosquera, Vicente was taking his shots and still fighting back. Valero wasn't discouraged and kept beating on him til there was a stoppage.. When he got into the ring, he was mentally prepared for war... Ortiz would be a guy that wouldn't make it the distance with Valero.. Maybe it was because he's young, but in the Maidana fight, he showed that he wasn't or isn't a very mentally strong person.. With that said, I think Valero would have stopped Ortiz maybe a little sooner than he did DeMarco..
