Its nearly 2 years since his death so how would he be doing now? What weight division would he be campaigning in? He had just given up his WBC lightweight belt to move up to light Welter. Would his power have carried up to light Welter and even Welter? Could he of mixed it with Bradley, Khan, Maidana and Alexander or maybe even with Pacquiao and Mayweather????
Beats everyone at 140 except bradley and Marquez imo. He would be one of the most interesting fighers in boxing if he were around now.
Maidana would have been fun, I think he'd lose to Bradley though. Khan would get ruined. This content is protected GIFSoup
Loses to Khan (close, disputed decision), Bradley and Marquez... wins two close, disputed decisions against Matthysse and Peterson. TKO's Ortiz and Alexander. Decisions Maidana in a war.
In rehab or prison. either way reports say that he had a monster cocaine habit. some say he was hitting up something close to an ounce every few days. That stuff will wreck a fighter EVEN if your only doing a little bit here and there. I truly believe we saw the very best Valero was ever going to give us. The history of the pure puncher has shown us that they ALL come unstuck at some point down the line. When they are faced with a truly hard man who can take they're BEST shots, they usually fold as they have no other answer. Where as EV could box a little bit, he WAS just a pure banger. He really went to hell and back in his last fight and a horrific gash opened up on his head in a really weird place aswell. I really do think that it was always going to end badly for that guy. And, well, it did! I jus feel bad for the woman he killed.
He would have beaten everyone but when he stepped up to face Pacquiao, he would have been knocked out.
agree with this if Maidana cant beat a boxer neither would Edwin Valero their both just punchers and Valero doesnt even have a decent name on his resume
