He is highly regarded by those who look at his record and think he's amazing. Those of us in the know how, like you and I, understand that he's a one-dimensional fighter with no defence and wild sweeping shots, though apparently they have been a bit straighter recently.

Good job the Pacquiao fight didn't come of, Pacman would of destroyed and retired him within 4 rounds.

Yeah I thought he was gonna be the next Duran until I watched a few of his fights on the internet. To put him in with Pacquiao at this moment would be giving him a death sentence, he has potential but a LOT to learn.

 

Valero is getting better with each fight. You youtube fans are talking about his early fights. Stop lying about this Valero collection you just got PAc fan lol. I can't wait to see if PAc-Valero comes off. It will be the end of the "old man fighting, inferior comp facing Pac!

 

I dont know why hes got so much hyped for its 21-0 21 KOs but hes fought exactly one solid fighter.

 

Yes, due to his off-screen career and 100% KO record, he recieved extreme hype. Indeed he's very crude in his fights, but to his credit, according to several sources and camp notes, he's MUCH better in sparring. It's a mystery how his abilities stay in the gym, maybe he's in for the kill everytime he fights, but that won't work vs. someone like JMM.

He sparred more than once with DLH in the last months (and was a former Golden Boy fighter before he moved to Japan) and was in camp looking for a deal as well, but didn't get one. The GBP HQ probably see him getting schooled in the near future.

Rumors say that it wasn't Ortiz, but Valero who beat Oscar up in camp. Maybe that's why DLH said 'no, thanks'.

Maybe that because every good boxer fights tomato cans in his first ~20 or so fights and just a few of them have KO ratio above 90%. So Valero having 100% KO ratio seems to be exceptional ... he still learn and develop his skills, he just need a good trainer ... stay away from MaGirt.

Brunson got exposed with the draw against that Italian guy. Valero will get similarly exposed when he steps up to face going world class competiton. I'd like to see him fight Humberto Soto, HS would kick his arse.

 

Have anyone noticed that Marquez hit the canvas in almost every mayor fight ... isn't that symptom of glass chin or what?
