What did you guys make of Edwin Valero? Ive been reading up on him for a while now and his life inside and outside the ring was fascinating...such a shame his life turned out the way it did, going out the way he did.

    27 Fights
    27 Wins
    27 Knock Outs
    0 Losses

From the fights ive seen he looked great..fantastic on his feet, fast, sharp powerful punches, and he obviously had power in them shots..

How do you think his career would of went?

Even the the whole muder of his wife and suicide is sketchy but thats a whole different story, strictly talking about his boxing career.

We will never know. Maybe the biggest waste of talent in the last 20 years.

Tell me about it, such a tragic ending...he could of possibly gone on to be one of the greats

Never seen a guy score so many first round knockouts in so many different countries (fact).

Apparently he used to pole-axe top class fighters in sparring as well (unsubstantiated rumour).

May well have been something very special.

The Americans would have sorted him out though. No way he leaves there with a win over Pacquiao.

Bob would have made sure he weighed in a pound over.

Ibeabuchi was possibly a bigger waste of talent, sadly.

Pretty sure it was true about the sparring thing, there’s a video with a famous boxing writer talking about being in the gym when he dropped two guys sparring.
Great boxer but you could tell he had tragedy written all over him.

He sparred moreles in the lead up to his fight with pacquio. There is some footage on YouTube.
I think he would of went on and mixed it with the best. Prob not winning all fights but still would of been a star in the us.
