There has been talk of a fight between the entertaining and exciting Edwin Valero and Antonio Pitalua for the interim WBC lightweight title but nothing decided yet. He had been cleared to fight in Texas but now there is talk of the fight taking place in Cancun

Also is he being promoted by GBP or not? as there is evidence for and on the contrary as well?

So please share if you have any light to shed on this

I read somewhere that there was talk of putting this fight on the undercard of JC Chavez jr's next ppv card in the next couple months. I haven't heard anything since.

He'll be signing with Top Rank last I heard. They intend on clearing him to fight in Nevada which would mean everywhere else in the USA by May or June.

I want to see him back in action after hearing how he beat up Oscar in training camp and getting thrown out by Nacho Bernstein for being too "rough" on Oscar.

From what ive heard, Valero is supposed to sign with Top Rank ( maybe he already did ) and if that's the case, it would make perfect sense for him to fight in the chavez jr undercard. I can't wait for him to fight another live body. It's time for him to really show his stuff.

Does this mean that Valero has a better chance of facing pacquaio as they're both fighter under the same banner or is Bob arum gonna keep these two separated?

Arum definitely wants this fight and Roach has no problem with it. They would be under the same promotion which is always great but chances are it will take place at 140 in the future. No need to share the site fee, live gate or PPV revenues with another promoter so everyone wins. However, I think Arum intends to build Valero up a bit first by taking out some good fighters at 135 before moving him into a fight against Pacquiao.

There's been criticism of him looking amateurish in real fights despite looking like the second coming while sparring great fighters but that's mainly because of the level of fighter he has been facing in the ring. Moreover, his Japanese promoter gave him an extra $100K for every 1st round KO he got so it made him fight recklessly. That should be all behind him now with a new promoter.

Would a man like arum risk his two cash cows to face each other?

BTW bruh thanks for that confirmation. When everybody was labeling Valero as a one dimensional fighter, I was claiming all along that the reason why he looks so wild is because of that deal he made with Teiken.. everytime he scored a 1st round KO, he was promised to receive a 100k bonus and that's exactly the reason why he's been getting wreckless to get his foes outa there. Fighting against a handful of overmatched opponents, y should he even waste time with his boxing ability? Yes the truth is out now.

Valero is very skilled technically and he'll show that against real competition..

He put Margo and Cotto together to make big money so I don't see why not. Pac's days are probably numbered so Arum needs a new star eventually. Valero had some trouble making the weight down at 130 so he should look even better at 135. He is aiming to knock JMM out to make a big statement to force a fight with Pacquiao but first has to get by Pitalua who while older is a big puncher still.

All I know is if he floors JMM early, Valero won't let him get back into the fight and will put his lights out for good. It's rare to see a southpaw with two fisted power to both the head and body and can box when he wants to. He has a lot of critics labelling him as a hypejob and an internet creation like they did Margarito before he got his break so I would love to see Valero make them eat large portions of crow.

Valero is a well kept secret and will reek havok on the competition in the near future. He's been avoided by some big names for a reason. I see him at the top within 2 years, and he'll grow with age. Many belts to be strapped on this fellow, mark my words.

Pacman better be afraid, he better be very afraid cuz the Venom can singsurat him all over again and dont give me that bull**** " ohhhhh that was ten years ago when pacman was malnurished as a teenager " lol that's just laughable. If yoos a pro, then conduct yourself like a pro no matter the age, no excuses. I don't care you didn't wear your favorite SOCKS or if u were just hungry.. This is the pros..

Valero has the ability to to put pac's lights out.

I'm sure that Pac is peeing in his pants now. He obviously fought DLH and is fighting Hatton now to avoid Valero.
