I don’t have a dog in the race; however, I’m curious is Efe’s chin really that bad? I saw him dropped but it looked like hellacious shot from a 200+ pound man that didn’t seem to truly hurt him. Do we have enough evidence to confidently say that chin is equivalent to fine chinaware?

He was dropped but he came back OK Any heavyweight can drop another if he lands a big shot. We'll see

Agreed, Fury & AJ are great examples of that.

I know folks also tend to look at the quality of the fighter that does the “dropping” which always confused me. Other than having the ability to execute a proper punch, consistently, how does the quality of a fighter relate to his/her potential to generate and land a money shot at 200+ lbs that causes enough damage to drop an opponent?

As boxing fans we tend to jump into quick, almost thoughtless conclusions without considering all the nuances attached to a fights defining and/or salient moments. Perspective is everything, one can see Efe dropped and conclude he has a weak chin another would weigh his quick recovery and ease of trajectory reestablishment as toughness validation.

    Interesting stuff indeed.

His chin might not be total glass but we know his chin isn't as good as Kownacki's who ate a load of shots from Kiladze and walked through them to stop him.

Worrying thing about Ajagba is more is lack of denfensive skills. He has no head movement, much like Dubois, he looks good going forward against guys who pose no threat but stick him in with an opponent who is willing to throw back and press him and you'll see him eat a lot of shots and at heavyweight that never a good thing eventually your chin will get cracked as Kownacki's loss to Helenius proved.

All good points, although I will say there is a very distinct difference between Kiladze landing non-stop “identifiable” punches versus being hit by a haymaker you did not anticipate. Chins aren’t typically compromised by scarcely landing perfectly timed power shots; chin shattering normally happens overtime because of its compounding effect.

My 13 year old daughter called one of her close classmates “suspect” and then she proceeded to un-invite her to the next sleep over. I’m wondering if Efe’s chin and her little girlfriend are “suspect” for the same reasons?

I remember my female cousin called two her twins classmates "suspect" because they were always together and never talked with her. True.

A workable analogy might include an untrained mass shooter in a closed environment vs a Navy Seal in a closed environment. Both will dish out pain and death with bloody results however there’s a possibility you can’t tell the difference in the quality of the massacre when it happens in a small closed, obstacle free setting.

LMAO, sounds like she was deliberately ostracized because she blurted out the wrong pronoun during lunch. Don’t worry I do it it all the time, tbh I’m not much of a conformist.

Heck anybody can get dropped, that doesn't mean you have a bad chin. See Muhammed Ali for reference. His problem as I see it is head is as stationary as a lamp post, just close your eyes and throw overhand rights and you got a good chance to hit it.

It's not his chin that should worry people. It's not granite, but we don't know the quality of it just yet. The slow, predictable footwork and movement should be what people see as a red flag. Tough to imagine any kind of run as a champ moving like that.
