Haven't seen much from either but both are prospects that are coming up pretty quick.

Ajagba by KO, at this stage. I think it would be a good fight but the power might make the difference.

Hard to call right now, both big, both hit pretty hard it seems, but who knows what Ajagba's stamina is like or if one of them has a glass chin.

Right now they are unfinished articles and will need to improve if they are to make it to the top, they both have flaws that need ironing out. Not sure who has the greater potential but really it's irrelevant as success will be defined by who improves the most not who has the most potential.

Yeah but you hate 99.5% of current heavyweights anyway

I find Ajagba more intimidating, 88 inch reach, imposing ripped Nigerian native physique, like he wasn't softened by western culture, killer instinct, all business no pleasure....

Very true, nobody should listen to me and expect any objectively positive critical analysis of any heavyweight that isn't named Usyk, Rivas or Hrgović. :sisi1

Wow... and there I go thinking the 0.5% was AJ.

Not even AJ makes your list man? Come on....

Oscar Rivas looks cool and that, but what's he really achieved???

I was day dreaming a fantasy (potential) match up between Rivas and Spong - battle of the hispanic badasses. Both listed on WBO rankings.

Aside from the aforementioned trio, Joshua's the heavyweight I dislike the least of the rest. :sisi1

    Why Rivas?

Bryant Jennings outboxed him for 11 rounds.

First off, no he didn't - I did have Jennings up 107-102 but Rivas won at least three rounds, and possibly could have swung another couple of the close ones I gave Bryant his way.

Second, that was hardly peak Rivas, that was after years of inactivity, malaise, injuries and mismanagement, you should have seen him in his late amateur run/around his pro debut, which is when I've been a ride-or-die fan of his since...

Third, he still knocked his ass out, didn't he? :deal:

I wasn’t saying it was a white wash just that over 11 rounds Jennings comfortably outboxed him.

I find it odd how your cold on some exciting heavys but rate a guy who bye bye should have beat.

Honestly if I hadn't already known about him from years ago and had only discovered him recently I might not have become a fan, but like I said my loyalty is grandfathered in from when he was a really good, exciting prospect that had me legit optimistic. I've pretty much given up on him bagging a title but he's my sentimental pick in basically any match-up he's in at this point.

And he's at least out here trying despite diminished abilities and having wasted his peak prime years on the shelf, unlike that fraud Bogdan Dinu that had so many of us hyped only to end up being a giant wet fart.

Early on he fought more like a cruiserweight, to further clarify the distinction between why he gets more favorable treatment from me than some other "exciting" HWs. I prefer small, fast heavies - regardless of whether their style is more "boxer" or "puncher". I just can't stand giant plodders. Like the worst possible type of HW for me is a Mariusz Wach. I'd actually rather root for fatasses Butterbean or Dustin Nichols than a stiff musclebound or just plain big lug, at least those guys have footwork that is relatively fancy (compared with the big Polish blockhead)

All fair comments and I do look forward to seeing what Rivas can produce in the future.

It was much better for the division that he beat Jennings.
