Ajagba a very dangerous fighter , more dangerous then DDD at this stage.

Theres levels in boxing ,I go through 4 stages.

DDD is at 1 still .

Ajagba is on 2 due to much more amateur experience .

Would be a real crazy fight but I see Ajagba slipping in one of those sharp right hands and he has the reach to do that.

I do think DDD will become a better fighter though, the question is when ?

He has an 85 inch reach. Exaggerated like the Ortiz reach ,both were corrected. Nobody should change their pick based on 85 or 88 though, unlike Ortiz going from 84 to 78 vs Wilder or whatever it was ? that made me think twice beyond his failed physical prior to the fight and had he had that 84 inch reach Ortiz probably would have won ... lol

I starting to feel that Dubois’ backing and hype are beginning to work against him. I think he has a lot of potential and is very good for his age, but he’s 21. And no, he’s not anywhere near Tyson’s level of talent. I ultimately envy the UK’s enthusiasm for boxing and wish it was more present in the US, but seriously I remember like 2 fights in Colin Hart was saying he punched harder than Joshua, Lennox, and Bruno, and everyone was calling him the “AJ killer.”
Now he’s being pushed to face a man who’s vastly more experienced and over 10 years his senior, who has the potential to hand him a very punishing and difficult loss. I feel Ajagba would do the same. Fighting Gorman makes more sense because they’re at very similar stages in their career. IMO he should either face him next or go for a guy like Wach or Duahupas, though the Joyce fight would be a blast if it happens- just not a wise move for Dubois.

This. Anybody that seen Ortiz fight in the amateurs knew that his pro height and reach stats were completely bogus. I like boxrec and think it’s a very good resource, but sometimes the stats they have for fighters are way off the mark.

Efe, he seems to be able to sent people to the canvas twitching with nothing more than a touch.

Some serious power there but still very raw..

Early days for both of them, but I lean towards Ajagba at this stage. BTW, I think his handlers need to start moving him quicker. Mo, I don;t suggest he;s ready to face AJ, Fury or Wilder this year, but they need to up the gears. It seems that the showdown between the three big has been postponed for two to three years from now and should this happen there will be massive hype and money in HW division. Fantastic opportunity for a fresh challenger with a "killer" style.

Ajagba at the moment, I guess.
Dubois probably has to mature some more before he knows how to cope with a brutal puncher like that. Next year we can see who developed better, but now it's Ajagba in my book.

I don't want to open a new thread because this one already exists, who would win if the fight took place now?

Neither are any good, but Efe's reach and straight punching will probably light up Dubois' nitid nonmoving nut.

The only thing Dubois has going for him is the brit hype machine. Ajagba by ko.
