"Is what you did tonight enough for the elite of the division"
"(Looooooong pause......eyes darting everywhere) we are a work in progress"

"Would you be interested in a fight with Jared Anderson?"
    "We are brothers so no"

Anderson is easy to hit and reckless as hell. Him winning by KO over any puncher is never a given.

Not so sure. I was a early naysayer when the Ajagba bandwagon was getting it's wheels put on but I did get the sense that if Shaw showed up Ajagba was more than ready to meet him head on and step it up. Anderson isn't Sanchez. Anderson only knows how to come forward and his defense is absolutely abysmal. Ajagba lands heavy and hard on Anderson early.

Jerry Forrest is a trickier fighter than Ajagba even if Ajagba might beat him. Ajagba is a basic guy whose punches are easier to read. I see Anderson's more dynamic attack winning him the fight.

I mean, is Ajagba going to fight again this year? If they are serious about improving him they need to keep him active.

If I'm Arum though I'm pleading with Anderson and his team to work on his defense because he's the best he's got out of this crop.

Possibly, but Anderson is also one of the biggest hypejobs in the sport. He's not this unstoppable killer. People were treating Ajagba the same way before he lost to Sanchez.

Only came in to comment about the rice tko.

Holy crap what a circus all the way around.

    - Rice willingly losing every minute of the fight.

    - Opens up cut in one of the few punches he threw.

    - Ref rules it a.... headbutt? Wth.
I have to believe the ref was either being blatantly corrupt, or, was empathizing with the situation of losing an easy victory by a lucky punch.

    Either way... wow.

    - The use of replay.

    - The food for thought about how corrupt, powerless and passive the guardians of this sport are. Because had that been ruled a headbutt, while so openly coming from a punch... what would have happened? Likely... nothing at all. That is how bad the sport is.

I'm actually as surprised they tried to right the wrong, as I am the ref called it a headbutt.

    - I understand empathizing with the situation, and casting this 'win' under a dark shadow and demanding a rematch, and maybe criticizing stopping it in the first place, in a fight that was so in control, but once the ref made the decision to stop the fight, there was only one right call at that point, and that was a tko.

It will depend on his chin. Look at Joyce, he's easy as hell to hit too. Though Joyce is less likely to get caught with something from a crazy angle as he's less wild.

I did not mean to make it seem that way. Sanchez was fantastic and was the reason Ajagba was so impotent. Nevertheless, Ajagba didn't even seem to know how to try something different against Sanchez. He was very much a one trick pony.
