what counter-punch do you have the most success with?
i like to duck the jab and throw a straight right high on the rib cage.it lands most of the time and is hard to defend against.

I like to slip the jab to my left, twisting my body as I do so and then double up on the left hook to body and head.

My right hand counter on a southpaw jab is one of my better punches, as is my counter left hook on a southpaw jab. I have 3 friends I routinely spar with who are southpaws, so I have a pretty good amount of experience with them.

With the right straight counter, I'll keep my range and time the jab, often pawing with the left, perhaps feinting to the body, always awaiting the right jab. When it comes, I just slide my left foot out, slip outside of the jab to my left, and fire the right hand down the middle inside their jab.

With the left hook, again I time the jab, get a good sense of the distance, and when the jab comes I'll simply slip my head to the left and fire the hook over the jab. Sometimes I'll catch them with it off the backfoot if they overextend their jab.

what ever punch is thrown it is important to slip or duck in the direction which is going to be most effiecent for the follow up counter.. it doesnt really come down to what is your "favorite" counter what ever is open is the target
