Yeah, the frequency of the holding in the first (and second?) rounds was annoying. Other than that, Mayweather fought a great fight.

if you run more than 3 kilometers in a boxing match, you are indeed a runner.

How do you win a fight by landing under 7 punches a round? Manny landed under 7 punches a round and threw less punches than Mayweather. So how did he win?

Fantastic defensive fighter and great reflexes (among the top defensive fighters ever, sure). But to rank among the best of the best all time you need to be capable of truly dominating opponents (making them run for dear life or rendering them unconscious), not just winning decisions. In this respect, Manny has the better body of work this era. Losing by a few points against Floyd (a couple of grazing punches here and there settled some rounds) doesn't change that. And when you look at who hurt who in this fight, Floyd was the one rocked a couple of times and was forced to cover up because of it. If they weighed this sort of thing more heavily in judging, the sport would be better off. So better points fighter, sure, but not the better fighter overall, and not one of the truly elite fighters in history, that's for sure.

If he was running, how did he land so many punches?

Yeah for a runner, he sure threw a lot of punches. Maybe Manny was the runner here. Running forward at Mayweather and not getting off punches.
