if you ever drop red meat too, egg whites and tuna will be a big part of your diet if you still want to gain muscle
just make sure you supplement with kidney beans/iron tablets - and expect your ass to let out toxins that you DO NOT want going anywhere near other human beings

No offense, but this is utter nonsense. I can post the relevant information later when I get onto my laptop, but in the meantime go and look up intermittent fasting and tell me that having breakfast is make or break :good

    :good

Martin Berkhan's Intermittent fasting diet is the best cutting diet Ive ever done by far. Wake up at 8, eat at 12pm, 5pm and 8pm. No other snacks or meals. 16 hour fasting period.

From what I understand eggs are a exlent source of protean and enegery. However unless you have farm fresh eggs. I would cook them before eating.

Because a decent pre-workout meal cancels the need to do so.

Is the whole "the best time to eat protein is within 30 minutes of ending your workout" a myth then?

And what is a typical pre-workout meal for you if you dont mind me asking?

Yeah, it is mate. The whole process of digestion and absorption of nutrients is a lot longer than people seem to think; so providing your pre-workout nutrition is in check, there's no need for a post-workout shake in most cases.

Even in the case of 'inadequate' pre-workout nutrition, the anabolic effects of a post-workout meal are going to be elevated to compensate.

For me it depends. As I train twice per day generally, it depends what I've already eaten (making sure I hit my macronutrient targets) and how I feel. Before my second session yesterday I had; 200g green beans, 5 rice cakes, 4 slices of brown bread with some peanut butter and some 'home-made' high protein frozen Greek yogurt. That was around 52g Protein, 88g Carbs, 15g Fat (which is around 700kcal).

That's one of the most frustrating things about trying to learn about nutrition/fitness over the internet. So many sites have contradictory information and it's hard to know what's true and what's not. You happen to have a link that debunks the 30-min after workout protein myth?
