This content is protected Professional debut for each combatant. Lurking at the lower depths of the Maurice Hooker vs. Alex Saucedo undercard on ESPN. It... know what? Just watch.
Bear in mind Emanuel Williams did no worse than would ninety percent of keyboard warriors - many of whom probably couldn't even muster the guts to step in the ring in the first place. Still, though... Yikes.
Top comment on YouTube: I find it hard to believe that someone watched this man train in the gym and said "Yep I think it's time to show the world your abilities."
You'll be shocked - downright gobsmacked, I tells ya - to learn that Rincón and Williams have gone on to diametrically opposed career trajectories since this ...erm, fierce struggle. Williams has lost his subsequent three, all via KO in one round (before ultimately calling it a day thirteen months after this disastrous maiden voyage) - while the southpaw Texan has stayed the course and is currently 9-0, active until as recently as this past April.
Emanuel Williams vs. Saben Kale Cura: (third of his four KO1 defeats) This content is protected Cura was another debutant. Currently the Filipino-American is 13-0 (9).
John Rene Torres Rincón vs. Yainel Álvarez Telemaco: This content is protected By contrast here is King John's current form. Always nice to notch a victory over a Cuban, even a bottom of the barrel one. Apparently whatever pop he possessed down at lightweight vs. Williams has dissipated in the move up to welter, however. He is 4-0 (0) at the weight.
